there's a few things you can do as well:

-every morning when you wake up drink a glass of hot/warm lemon water with sea salt (regular salt will do at the resort), it acts as a gentle detox to remove toxins and keeps the bowels regular, wait at least 30 mins before eating anything else. it's best to get into this habit daily before the trip as well

-stay hydrated in the hot sun, drink lots of water (maybe do 1 for 1 - one glass of water per glass of alcohol drink you have if you plan on drinking alot)

-avoid processed flour & sugars as much as possible, they will bloat you the most

-limit dairy consumption

-eat lots of protein, veggies, fruit

-you may benefit from taking probiotics and digestive enzymes

if you don't get enough fiber in your diet you may want to bring some psyllium seed husks with you to take daily to get things moving, just make sure to drink tonnes of water, if you don't that will just make the bloating worst.

if you plan on drinking alcohol here's a few tips on things to help the hangover, stomach issues:

po chai pills - Amazon.com: Po Chai (Bao Ji Wan) Pills - Herbal Supplement (10 Vials Per Box) - 1 Box: Health & Personal Care

-take one vial(don't chew) when you are drinking and before you go to bed. if you live in the Toronto area you can buy these at most herb shoppes in Chinatown for $3.50/box, there are 12 in a box

nux vomica (colubrina) - homeopathic remedy

-this is found in most health food stores and is under $10, take 4 pellets when drinking and 4 before bed

i always bring extra supplements with me on vacation because i am more concerned about getting a cold than having stomach issues (and i have stomach problems)

-bring extra vitamin C, B complex vitamins, oil of oregano

any more questions...i'd be more than willing to offer up some tips (i'm a holistic nutritionist in case you were wondering my source of infomation)

hmmm i was not familiar with this specific product but i just read the ingredient list and it doesn't have anything too harsh in there.

for those who are going to take this...i would recommend trying this well before the week of the wedding. you may need to play around with how many or how little you take. sometimes with colon cleanses or any type of cleanse for that matter your body goes through a 'healing crisis'. those types of symptoms would not be fun while away.

trying any new product like this do at least 30 days before so by the time you go away you are taking 'maintenance' pills. it will be easier on your system.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
