Bloaty DW brides?

Is anyone else worried about being completely bloated since you'll be 'indulging' in bevvies and food at the resort that you probably haven't been prior to the wedding?

I've been trying to eat super healthy, working my buns off at the gym every morning and swearing off booze till the wedding to make sure I look good on the wedding trip/big day. But once I get there, I'm totally afraid I'll get bloated in the 5 days we're there before the wedding!!

I have one friend and her boyfriend that I can count on to hit them gym with me during the trip and I'll *try* to limit the booze shots.gif(probably just stay away from the 'fruity' ones) but are there any natural or over the counter medications/pills/magic potions that can help?

I keep thinking about this too!!! I'm being sooo disciplined until June (it's actually been really easy), but I wonder what I'm going to do in the days up to the wedding. I am bringing my shoes/stuff for the gym but the drinks are killer! and the buffets!! omg.

I havent' heard of anything, but I'm going to check back to this to see if anyone says anything!!: )

i was very worried about this too... so i tried to eat super healthy the 2 days we were there before the wedding.

my only advice is be careful with the fruity drinks. at home, i hardly eat any sugar during the day, so all the fruity drinks (2-3 a day) really gave me a stomachache. and it took me about 4 days to figure out what the heck was wrong with me. lol, so don't be a bride with a belly ache! it stinks.

I totally agree. stay away from the delicious fruity drinks. Drink lots of water. And good for you -- keep up the workouts while you're there! Don't want your hard work to be ruined by a few days. BUT, I am an advocate of allowing yourself to a treat maybe one whole day during your trip. As long as you jump back into your exercise mode and diet mode asap.

Ooohh, what's it called??

And Tonir - I hear you on the rings!! Mine are snug as it is to make sure I don't lose them, nevermind when I'm bloated and it's super hot down south! Oy...

I also know that, for me, eating carbs makes me hold onto weight. I plan on trying to skip most carbs for two days before the wedding (except a little low-carb alcohol). Also I'm going to stay a mile away from salt (and pickles haha which are a weakness). Then make sure to drink as much water as possible the day before, which really helps shed some water weight.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
