Hey All!

I'd like to introduce myself, My Name is Kathy. Im New to BDW. And new to Forums in general! Im anticipating a Wedding This November in Mexico. However My fiance Ted and I are having a Hard time really choosing a resort!

I think the problem stems from finding s resort with a 1)Catholic chapel, 2)beautiful beaches and 3) hotel that allows or is nearby a hotel that allows children on their property.

We'd like to have a Religious catholic ceremony. Preferably in a Chapel on the resort. I have found a Beautiful Chapel at the Royal Resorts in Cancun. Anyone have any suggestions, tips or reviews about this placehuh.gif Also the Moon Palace has a Chapel. However based upon pictures it appeared their beaches had ALOT of seaweed all along the coast, Ted Loves Beaches and wasnt liking that part of the resort at all! Anyone know if its as poor as it seems??

If anyone has any feed back/tips about resorts/symbolic ceremonies in the Riviera Maya/Cancun Area it would be Much appreciated!!

Kat

congrats and welcome! im sorry i dont know about catholic churches in RM, but there are quite a few brides who have gotten married at catholic churches in puerto vallarta (for example amyh) and san jose del cabo (maura and coreyphil are two). i *believe* you are correct about the moon palace in cancun having a catholic chapel, search for Betsy's wedding review and im sure you will find some answers :)

Congrats & Welcome!!! We are getting married at the Playacar Palace Wyndham Grand resort in Playa del Carmen. May want to check it out, great location and there is this Adorable quaint catholic church on 5th (we arent getting married in the church) but we walked by it quite a few times while we were there. If you search playacar palace on the forum myself and a few other girls posted some pics. We have a 19 month old so we too need a child friendly resort. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions! Happy Planning!!! wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
