My proposal was super crazy funny...

 

We were sitting at my fiance's family's house for xmas eve dinner. At the end of dinner his cousin passed around matching gift bags to everyone... their family is so sweet I honestly didn't even think anything of it. She said that they were just exchanging some small things to everyone this year! Inside the bags there was mugs, gum... little things like that! I made a big deal about each object because I thought the idea was really cute. What I didn't even notice was how nervous my FI was... what I also didn't notice was that because he (and the entire family) was so preoccupied with me finding something no one noticed that my FI had placed tissue paper from the bag directly on top of a candle! Whoosh...it lit up almost as soon as it was on the table...quickly setting the table on fire! Everyone started screaming and starring at the fire not quite sure what to do... until his uncle put it out! My fiance trying to get attention back to what should have happened (me finding a ring) quickly said "well... let's get back to the bags... I wonder what else is in here) I was in shock...but didn't want to be rude so I kept going through the bags...until I found what I thought was a lotto ticket...instead it was a picture of him... with a speach bubble overhead saying "will you marry me?" The ring attached to the side. I was still in shock and it took some time for me to answer... I was speachless!! I said yes... and it was the best proposal ever!! LOL

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
