We also booked the blue lagoon. We are taking our laptop down with all of the emails just in case they try to argue prices with us. We are only having 25 people but with us changing to the pearl package and they said we would still get the 100 per hour price for the blue lagoon it is saving us about 200 and we get more thing that we wanted with the pearl package. I am not tring to argue with you I just think it is odd that we are kinda doing the same thing and we are both quoted two different things. I already had a price breakdown for me, we agreed to it and I do not see how they could change it back if we have proof from the email... I just wanted to let you know.

I do not feel like you are arguing. I think you got lucky. I am happy for you. In my earlier post I simply cut and pasted the email Nina had sent me explaining the package differences. I was just sharing info. I wish you the best.

I signed on for the sapphire package about 2 weeks ago and it was 1800. Im confused with all the prices. We will have a good of about 30ish people and I guess I dont really care if I have a seperate receptions so I beleive that the sapphire package would be the best. but it is an additional $20 a person after 8 to have dinner with other guests?

The extra $20/pp covers the cost of champagne, larger cake, and setup.

I booked  the Sapphire package too, for $1800.  I'm a little confused about the charges.  The resort is all inclusive, does that mean there is additional charge, for the guests that are staying on the resort to join in a reception?  Is this for a private reception or for a semi private?

There is hidden fees of $20.00 per person after the allowed 8 people...which i find funny, cause we all have to get a min number of 10 to get the flight deals !!!!!!!!!!! sorry for the small vent.

But yes there are fees for both the ceremony, and the reception dinner. if you go with a semi private dinner, you have to go into the restaurant with other guests, if you go with a private dinner than there is a cost per head...at which time you will get a menu choice.

If you were thinking about a beach reception dinner you will have to have a min number of 50 people, if you go to my photo album, i have pictures of the BLUE LAGOON (which is where we are doing our private reception dinner)

If i can offer any advice, keep all you contact e-mails with your W/C...just so you have something to go back on!

Thanks for the clarification. I have been waiting for the wedding coordinator to respond to my email.  How did you find the Blue Lagoon? I didn't see it listed on the fiesta website. I heard of another location called Poseidon, do you know what that is? With the extra charges, $20 pp only covers the ceremony? There is an additional $45 pp for a private reception? Is there a fee for a private reception in addition to the $45pp?

When are you getting married, We are on April 12, 2012.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
