By the way, I couldn't really see clearly, but what did you have in your centrepiece?
As our centerpiece I wanted to keep it as simple and CHEAP as can be. I used the same Orchid Flower Heads I used to make my MOH/BM/Bride Bouquet. I put 3 white orchids, 3 coral orchids, Sand, 2 fluorolytes and starfish submerged in water. Surrounding it, I had my Table # in frames with my Puppy's picture, votive candles, 2 maraca's which i purchased at the mall at Hacienda Tequila. I used as placecards glass votives that I purchased from Michael's and wrapped them with our guest names. and wrapped it with a colored ribbon of their dinner choice. For the escort cards, I purchased white starfish from Ebay, and attached our guest name with the table #.

This is a picture of when I realized I forgot to put my garter on for the garter toss! LOL! My awesome BM & MOH's ran up to my room to get it for me. But, that was after I realized NO ONE HAD THE KEY TO OUR ROOM! I forgot to take it with me when I left!

I got the maraca's at the mall in downtown Cabo. When we did our resort visit in May, we took notes of what and where we needed to find some items that were cheap. The maraca's, Tequila for the the tequila table, and Cigars. The maraca's were only $1.50 per pair! Hacienda Tequila was the name of the store.

Okay, this might be a really dumb question, but how did you place the flowers in the vase to they are floating the way they are. I am using the same exact vase and my original idea was to have floating orchids inside with some fluorolytes (except my sand is on the outside as I'm using a plate charger under the vase), but when I tried it, they all just fell to the bottom. I tried using some fishing lines to hold them in place but that turned into a disaster. That's why I was so curious as to how you did yours. I pretty much abandoned the idea, but now that I see yours...HELP! :o)

thanks...

Honestly, I had the idea, but never tried it at home before we left. I just told the WC what to do, and how I wanted it, and she did it. I'm thinking it may be the type of flowers you are using. are they fresh or artificial? I double checked my pictures of all of our table pictures just to see if this was the only centerpiece that had floating flowers. All of my table centerpieces were floating. So, I think it may be the type of flowers you are using. I used artificial. I purchased them from Michael's. They aren't the real "real touch" orchids, but, it's close enough. Everyone thought they were real!
Give it a shot, and let me know the outcome.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
