bunny_4.gifbunny_4.gifbunny_4.gifbunny_4.gifbunny_4.gifHey Guys! i am getting married on October 10th, 2010...and i've been searching for the right banquet/reception hall for my AHR. We are really trying to stay on budget...since we are doing BOTH (DW & AHR)...and i was thinking, MAX 50$ per person.

Does anyone know of a hall in the tri-state area??! I live on Long Island...so queens and Nassau county are definitely good options...but i could even go a little farther.

Anyone?!

thanks for your help girls.

Also, how should i write my invitations?!...does anyone have a sample of invitations!?! Thanks a bunch!!

I am in Long Beach!!! And we are having the hardest time finding a place to have an AHR. We found a few spots in Suffolk out by Medford for those prices but that is pretty far to ask guests to travel.

Everything we have found in Nassau is a total Wedding Factory or a Knights of Columbus. This has been so hard!! We even have a friend who can probably cater the party for us but have no venue.

We should DEFINITELY work together on this. I think we want to have ours the first week of December.

I live in Queens. We are having our AHR a week after we get back from our wedding at JOE ABBRACCIAMENTO in Rego Park, Queens. we are having a full 5 course meal and open bar for 4 hours- its coming out to about 55pp. The food is PLENTIFUL and amazing. They dont have a website but its a family run place- the chef/owner and his wife run the place. Google it.

I'm from Long Island and this is the EXACT reason I'm not doing a regular wedding. LI Prices are astronomical. I am saving SO much money by not doing it there.

My brother has his at the Elks Lodge in Smithtown (or Kings Park?) and it was good food, cheap, big room for the hall with a place for a DJ and everything...

Hope this helps...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
