Not sure, just something I read in another thread.  I believe they are worried about resale.  One of the brides mentioned making up your own receipt?! Not sure how that would work but ya another thought....

You are right Tori, it's the resale that they are worried about.

JBean, I am sure you can show them that you are booked at a resort for a wedding and they shouldn't have problems with it. I was told to make a list of everything that i have (the OOT stuff) and the quantities. But I am sure you'll be fine w/out your receipts as well.

Another advice that a bride on here gave was to print out all of your emails from/to your WC. I guess there were cases where the WC said certain things were covered then after their arrival she said there were not anymore. In such cases, the emails were quite handy I guess. I am saving all of our correspondence and taking it with us just in case.

Ya, I will definitely be printing out my emails!

I don't see how having receipts proves that you won't be reselling the items??  Maybe I'm missing something. lol. I think I will just make a sign that says "wedding decor - not for resale". If we run into trouble, it's pretty easy to prove you're throwing a wedding.

were flying with air transat.... but were all flying together the same day, so it should be good!

as far as the receipt thing goes....that was for shipping the items to the destination.. i was thinking about sending it down before we got there, and I was told to put all the receipts in the box and write not for resale-wedding decorations on the box...this way there wasnt a hold up!

What is your budget for Mugs natalie?  Did you consider doing Bubbas or would you rather keep it cheaper?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
