Hello Grand Paladium Jamaica Brides to be

Khloe

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone,

My name is Khloe and we are getting married May 13th 2010, at the beautiful Grand Paladium and Lady Hamilton Resort and Spa. We were lucky enough to go down last May to check out the resort. If you are also getting married here and have any questions. I would be happy to help. We have been through a lot of problems with the other WC and flight info, so I would like to help other people going what we already went through. Thankfully everything is going smoothly nowsmile72.gif

Hello fellow Palladium Bride! I will be getting married there on April 20th. I was wondering if you have made any scheduled plans for after your dinner, should I try and book our dinner location ahead of time (it's supposed to be at the beach restaurant)?....are there any options for a beach party or something after dinner?...what are your plans for the evening party? I'm trying to just let most things happen once I get there, figure that's why we have chosen a destination (to avoid all the pre-planning and drama). Any suggestions of things we should definitely ask before we arrive would be greatly appreciated! Have fun planning!

Hello fellow Palladium Brides! Khloe I am getting married the day before you :)

luv2sun, we are having our wedding on the beach at 4:00pm. I wanted it earlier so that we could get some nice sunset pics after the wedding.

We are going to suggest to the guests to go to one of the bars for cocktails while we are taking pictures and we will meet them there after.

We have booked the Blue Lagoon from 7-10. We were going to rent the speakers and microphone until they quoted us a price of 500 to rent them....which is more than the Blue Lagoon rental(300)! We are now considering bringing a portable speaker system with us but we are just ironing out all the problems/issues that may arise with that.

After the Reception we are planning on going to the Infinity Lobby Bar where they have

Live music every day 9:30pm - 12:30pm.....at some point we are going to head to the Disco too :) they are open from 11:00pm – 2:00am.

We chose the 4pm time as well. The coordinator said the sun should set around 5:30 - 6 and since our ceremony will be short we should have plenty of time for pics. My photographer will have a list and be telling everyone what to do so I'm trusting we'll fit it all in. We want sunset pics too and will likely do "trashing" pics the next day anyways. I want everyone to enjoy a full day at the beach/pool before the wedding to get the most of their day. Sounds like I better get in touch with the wedding coordinator to at least confirm where we're having dinner since we paid for the beach restaurant (is that the Blue Lagoon?).

Only 78 more days, I gotta get a few details down and then relax!

Hey ladies! I was just confirming some prices ahead of time so we don't fall off our chairs when we get down there so I was a little shocked that it was $50pp for anymore than 8 people, for some reason I thought it was $15 but I think that's just for anyone over 8ppl. Is this what everyone has been quoted as well? I can't find the extra person price listed anywhere so just thought I'd do a quick poll. So far we have 27 people so it isn't actually that bad when you multiply it all out. :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
