Boutique Wedding Hotel (100 people)?!

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone!

I have a friend that is considering getting married in Riviera Maya (or Costa Rica). Can you recommend a great boutique-ish hotel for about 100 guests? The hotel would ideally host the wedding guests for the week and also be the location for the wedding. She is looking for a place that's little more intimate than a large all-inclusive, but also has a good rep for hosting weddings. Any suggests would be very welcome!!!

Thanks!

I'm getting married at Hotel Esencia in May - the hotel has 25 rooms, so it will fit about 60 people. There are two other hotels on the same beach though that can fit the overflow.

I've also heard great things about Maroma - which I think is about 80 rooms?

I know you didn't ask about the other side of Mexico but I've had friends go to weddings here - Welcome to Playa Fiesta - who said it was amazing and so much fun. And cheap!

Delauren your wedding will be amazing. I love Essencia.

Blue Tulum has 100 rooms.

Milamores in Tulum has 25 rooms and can fit 75 people. There are private homes and boutique hotels within a 2 minute alk that could accomodate the rest as well as offer a variety of choices to your guests.

There might be something closer to Cancun if you talk to Julieta at Tu Página Web Gratis - Mex.tl or Raffelle at EW Cancuns.

yes there's a bunch!

if she's looking for a more intimate/low key setting, Isla Mujeres would be a good option. While the hotels are not all inclusive, they are small and there are various options for the reception.

Otherwise, she may want to look into Ceiba del Mar which as about 80 rooms and the Omni in Puerto Aventuras which has about 30 rooms (there are other hotels nearby to accommodate overflow). There are also several near Tulum but I am not as familar with those.

Hi,

After visiting some larger resorts in Tulum, we are getting married at Blue Tulum this April and highly recommend it! We have 75 people booked and the size of this intimate boutique hotel is perfect for us. Angelina is the wedding coordinator and has communicated with me for the last nine months about every detail. Please write back if you would like more information from me. Congratulations!

We are getting married at Ana y Jose in Tulum. We are happy with it, but not all of our guests are staying in one hotel, which it sounds like you are looking for. Our guests are split up between Ana y Jose Hotel and 2 other hotels. If you want more info, just let me know.

I went to a wedding in Costa Rica at the Hotel Punta Islita and it was AMAZING. A little difficult to get to, but it was worth it. They have villas all over the property and the couple helped to group guests together into various villas. It was honestly one of the prettiest and most amazing weddings that I have ever been to.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
