Coccidia is somewhat common, so I wouldn't worry about it, after a few days of meds he sould be find. The problem is that with the meds for the Parvo more then likely it is what is causing his Coccidia, so once he is doing better on the meds and treatment for his Parvo I bet you'll notice he'll be back to his playful self again. Both of my boys have had Coccidia a few times, and after 3 days of meds it went away.. So keep your head up, and know that the vet is doing everything for him right now.

Just talked to the vet tech and he is doing worse. He was shivering, but his temp was normal. He hasn't thrown up since 5am, he still has diarrhea but it is thickening up a little. They are giving him oral medicine for the coccidia, so it's important that he not throw up. He also isn't up wagging his tail like yesterday.

She said sometimes they get worse before they get better....sad.gif

Visiting hours are from 2-4. I went yesterday at 2 but he was knocked out because of the pain medicine, so I am gonna go a little closer to 4 today and hopefully he will be a little more alert. sad.gif

Ugh, coccidia! I've gone thru this with both cats and dogs. It is highly contagious. Poor boy. It involves lots of diarhea and it's no fun. I will pray for Jack to get thru all of this stuff. That breeder better get all her dogs to the vet - they will all have the same thing. GRRR.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
