Bring on the headache.

Ugh, I have given myself a MILLION migraines. At first we decided to do Champagne and black for our wedding colors. I am even having a custom made Deep champagne (taupe) dress. Wtf was I thinking? walking down the aisle in a brown dress?!? ...yeah. I don't know. And FI thought I was isane the whole time, he just didn't want to ruin my fun. hundreds of dollars later, I now understand why this isn't the best idea. We were going to have black flowers (wonderful for photos, huh? lol)

Moving on...I found a site that sells the realistic foam flowers. I have decided to do my own. FI and I like the orane flowers, so the bouquets will have orange...maybe some pinks and yellows. We haven't got that far into it yet.

NOW I need a new dress, I also need to pick a color for the wedding party to wear. I was thinking about doing the pink/orange thing, but I know that would end with me having a butt load of orange and pink stuff. Then changing my mind again.

Maybe we should do our wedding at a nudist colony. that way I only have to make up my mind about the flowers and decorations. Nix the clothing all together. lol

I am so confused. We are on a really tight budget so I need to make up my mind and stick to it befre we are a couple thousand in the hole.

Anybody else have the same problems? It would be nice to know I'm not alone

lol thank you for sharing. I have managed to keep the same idea for the reception. We are doing that in turquoise and pink.

I have NO clue about the actual ceremony though. And FI likes everything I show him (i taught him how to agree with me no matter what, I'm starting to regret it now :P) Anyway. I think we are definately going with the orange flowers. I just don't know what color to make the MOH and FL dresses.

Don't worry your not alone! Hhaha I changed my mind on our colours about 4 times before I settled. First it was going to be 4 bridesmaid and each one in a different colour and then the groomsmen with matching ties....and it was pink, orange, yellow and bright green... then I went to pink and orange, but my FI didn't like that...'too much pink' he said. So then it was just orange but I thought that was alittle too harsh so now we have settled and we are going with orange and blue... my bridesmaids are all wearing blue dresses and will have orange flowers and orange accesories. :) Good luck with picking your colours!!

Hey girls, I totally hear you! We had a hard time deciding at first too but then just decided to go with our two favorite colors - blue & green. It's sort of turned into aqua, a minty-ish green & yellow. BM's are wearing 3 different color dresses - aqua, clover green & a buttery yellow. And I think I want gerbera daisies in orange, pink, yellow - not totally sure, just something tropical.

Anyway this website was really helpful for me in choosing colors and they have inspiration boards put together in a ton of combos. If you scroll down a bit you can select by color on the left.

Good luck deciding!

ooh, that one's fun too!
So this is what we came up with. The first one was my initial inspiration board - just getting the colors together & finding things that gave me inspiration for an overall look/feel.

Then I did this one the other day as an update, including the things that we're using (our invite, my shoes & jewelery, the BM dresses, cake topper, centerpieces, etc).

The guys are wearing the guayabera shirts shown on the left, in ivory, with embroidery matching the girls dresses (one green, one blue, one yellow). FI is wearing a linen suit with white shirt (we think) & these fun chuck taylor allstars I had made for him at converse.com. I don't have a good pic of them since we haven't received them yet, but this one's from the website. The back stripe has "xoxoxo" all over it and I had our date stamped on the side (small). I love these shoes :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
