Questions about Sandals Group Weddings

Recommended Posts

If anyone knows the answers to these, please let me know (specifically, I'm looking at Jamaica and Emerald Bay). Thanks!

1) The group weddings page says it includes a private rehearsal dinner that can't be on the wedding day. Anyone know what the cost is to do a private dinner after the cocktail reception on the actual wedding day?

2) It says now, no outside photographers, but I've seen pictures on this website from people's outside photogs. Is this a new requirement, or is it negotiable for a fee?

4) Shot in the dark! - does anyone have any idea where I could find the dress worn by the bride in the flutter of romance package on the website? I LOVE it!

As far as I have seen they only allow their photographers. I have heard of ppl getting around this by having a photographer stay as a guest at the resort. Because of this, the expenses for all the extras, and the one per hour wedding, and the limited times, we went with a wedding planner off resort.

Hello!!

1) There are several reception dinners you can do for a fee after the wedding:

-Standard cocktail reception for 30 minutes at $15/pp

-Private Cocktail Reception for 1 hour at $25/pp

-Private Dinner for 2 hours at $50/pp

-Private Wedding Reception and Dinner for 3 hours at $75/pp

I've been told that if your group books 10 or more rooms you get the 30 minute reception included.

2)I've also heard that no outside photographers are allowed unless they stay as a guest for at least 3 days (i think, might want to double check me) I am bringing a good friend down to take pictures :)

3)Can't help you there... it is REALLY cute though!!

Hope I helped!!

Sandals Emerald Bay is just stunning! I saw a couple of pics -sorry I am not allowed to share just yet but the water & beach there takes your breathe away it is soooo beautiful!

Yes, you can bring your own photographer- but they have to be a guest of the resort for 3 days.

I brought my photographer in for my beaches negril wedding 1 month ago, but he stayed at Beaches Sandy Bay which is cheaper and 2 mins away and it was worth it as he was with us for the whole time. The BEaches phtog was there too and we bough som epictures from him.

The cocktail reception was free for us, and the 3 hrs wedding dinner was $60 per person because we booked more than 10 rooms.

Hope this helps.

The reception depends on how many guests you have staying at the resort. If you have ten or more rooms booked, the 30 minute reception plus the rehearsal dinner are free. The private reception for 3 hours is $75 dollars per person if there are less than ten rooms booked and $60 per person if ten or more rooms booked. If you have a facebook page, I highly recommend going to sandals weddingmoon page. There is a lady named Jody Barbato on there who has organized my entire group and she's been fabulous. Also, since they are paid by Sandals, you don't pay any extra.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
