help! photographer needed in playa del carmen area

hey all!!!! we're getting married in july and we're need a good photographer in the mayan riviera/cancun/playa del carmen area!!!!

 

any suggestions/recommendations

If you do a search you should be able to find some threads that ladies have already started about this.. but a few of the popular ones seem to be Claudia Rodriguez, Cecilia Dumas, Elizabeth Medina & Del Sol Photography. Hope this helps!

There are several photographers in this area, many are members on this forum. The ones listed above are great! Also, Moments that Matter are in Playa.

 

You could also consider flying someone in, most of the time the cost is the same. There are some photographers in the state's that travel there frequently and have minimal travel costs, like Jeremy Gilliam and Nathan Cordova.

 

Try some search options, there are so many to choose from! Good Luck!

Like the other brides above said-- do some searching. There are different price points, and different styles. I have Elizabeth Medina for the wedding and Cecilia Dumas for my TTD.

Sascha Gluck! He just photographed our Jan 8 wedding, and was amazing. Awesome to work with, and he travels for no additional charge. He put a few pictures up from our weddding and TTD. Check him out, he's awesome!

Hi Alexa, as the others have mentioned, there are many options out there. Both in the states as well at in that area. you might wan to start searching the forum for ones you like, then see if they are within your budget and have your wedding date open.

Del Sol Photography!!! Matt is great (we talked on the phone, and he's so cool)! But all of the ones listed here have been great about replying and emails. I LOOOOOVE Elizabeth Medina (but she was unavailable for my date) -- you'll need to pay for one night at the hotel for her to work your wedding, since she lives 4 hours away. Ivan Luckie does good work too.

Hello!! So, i absolutely love elizabeth medina's style but I almost fell over when i received her package prices!! So my question for all of you.... Is it really over a thousand bucks for any good photog?? Any of the great reccomendations I have seen are super pricey. Is there any reccomendations for a photog in Playa del carmen that is on the cheaper side but still good or is that just not possible. i apologize in advance as i know this may be a stupid question but we really dont have an extra thousand plus bucks to spend but I dont want to regret it if I get crappy pics:)

We're using Sascha Gluck as well. I've seen his name already posted on here. He has more competitive prices than some of the other area photographers, and he just won an international wedding photography award! I think he was the only one from that area to win We're really looking forward to working with him.
