    Ladies, I would double check that detail..I was actually told that you must be in DR 3 FULL days prior to your ceremony. If that is not the case I could have saved myself a lot of hassle with travel arrangements! haha. Just heads up..

      Does anyone have a price list for spa services at Majestic Colonial? It takes Sandra a long time to respond to little questions like that, so maybe someone else can inform me? :) Thanks!

                  Hey Everyone! A few questions hopefully SOMEONE can help with :)

                   

                  1.) With the base rate of 500 per hour for wet bar/parrot bar, it just includes national drinks and sound system, correct?

                  2.) Are the national drinks even good?!?

                  3.) Do they decorate the parrot bar/wet bar at all for you or do you have to go and pay for a "decoration package"?

                  4.) Anyone do the "fire show" for 500 dollars and would you recommend it?

                  5.) Anyone use the trio band? Where did they perform, during ceremony or reception? Where would the best place be and is it worth it?

                  6.) I got addition services emailed to me and under "extras" it says " decorations for the ceremony $348 up to 40 guests...anyone know what this includes?

                  7.) There is a free dinner after the ceremony up to 60 guests correct? Was this good/fun? Did you have to pay for anything at all for this?

                  8.) Last but not least...HOW DID YOU GUYS DECIDE BETWEEN COLONIAL AND ELEGANCE??? I have nooo clue which I would choose...anyone have pros / cons for each? Thanks :)

                    We just got married there Sept 3rd. It was amazing!!

                    2.) Are the national drinks even good?!? That is what you will be drinking your whole time there. The all inclusive package at the resort serves national drinks.

                    3.) Do they decorate the parrot bar/wet bar at all for you or do you have to go and pay for a "decoration package"? You have to pay an additional fee for the decorations, but it was money well spent!

They have a lot to choose from. Lisa, our wedding coordinator, set up the tall cylinder vases with orchids submerged in water. It looked beautiful.

We had dinner at the Steakhouse and it was free. We had 50 people. It was set up really nice. My only complaint was that it's an open air restaurant, no AC, so it was a little hot in my dress and the guys in their suits.

                    8.) Last but not least...HOW DID YOU GUYS DECIDE BETWEEN COLONIAL AND ELEGANCE??? I have nooo clue which I would choose...anyone have pros / cons for each? Thanks :) The Elegance has a lot of exclusive areas. I don't think they allow children to stay there and you can only go in certain pools and eat in certain restaurants unless you pay extra for the exclusive benefits. You are able to travel between the two resort because the club is shared between both resorts. Our whole crew loved the Colonial.
