Majestic Colonial Info

Recommended Posts

Thanks ladies. Yes, I realize the parrot bar is our best bet. I kind of dont want to do the presidential suite. I want an outdoor kind of thing...I plan on bringing my own decorations and such.

I also agree that it is a little nerve wracking that they are not being clear with the pricing and such. If I hadnt gone on this board, or on the facebook group, I never would have known the terrace is no longer available or that they are trying to do a flat rate.

what spot is this for? I'm going to do the wet bar, but they just said it is $300 then I would have to pay open bar on top of it? Or is that different now?

Ali, there is too much misinformation going on between the coordinators. On the facebook majestic group, someone said their coordinator, either it was Sandra or Maritee said that they were now offering a 500 flat rate per hour for open bar, rental of the space and sound system. More than one bride said this, and I just emailed Yadilis. She mentioned nothing of it and quoted the prices as 35,25,15 per person per hour for open bar, premium, international, and national open bar respectively.

This is still just RIDICULOUS to me as I am having at least 100 GUESTS! THIS MEANS MY OPEN BAR FOR ONE HOUR at CHEAPEST IS 1500? This is INSANE!

its very frustrating....and I know it seems silly but I will be giving this hotel how much business with my wedding? I simply cannot afford an open bar at those costs!

Yeah the price of the open bar is ridiculous!!! I'm only having about 30ppl and I dont even want to pay it for 30 nevermind having 100!!! Honestly, I wish they could get their information on one page. I would LOVE if it was 500 flat rate! That would save everyone so much money. I'm going to email sandra see what she says...if you hear anything else please let me know!!! thanks

and I just received an email from them, with updated info (about the outside photogs, new price list) and now it appears you have to pay extra for the white chair covers for the reception?!?!?! Do you think that is just if you do the free dinner? I am doing the free dinner, then the private party at the wetbar...so i'm HOPING the white chair covers would qualify as "decoration & set up"

ugg I just emailed sandra, i'll let you ladies know anything as soon as I hear back....and I also asked her about the $500 flat rate! But on the updated price list, it still had the pay for open bar

I just emailed the info to you! What would the mini open bar includehuh.gif Also, I wouldn't want to pay $1000 for 2 hours at the wetbar, in my case it would be cheaper to rent the wet bar and then do the national bar ahh all this pricing!!! They need to give it to us in one lump sum!

Hi Girls,

I wanted to post on here if any of you were interested in doing pashminas for the women as favors. I bought a bunch and had to reorder some extras so I had to do a minimum order so I ordered extra extra then what I needed and wanted to sell them. I am doing tags saying "to have and to hold incase you get cold" and having them at my reception for the women. Below are the colors and quantities I have. I bought them for $4 but will sell them for $3 plus shipping to your location. If you are interested private message me with quantities and colors. The pashminas are great quality which is why I ordered more! I orered them from www.nywholesalescares.com and you can preview the colors there. I did a mix of colors which is why there is many to choose from and weird quantities. I am also going to post a thread too.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
