Great Parnassus Brides????

Recommended Posts

I am wondering if there are any Great Parnassus Future or Past Brides out therehuh.gif? I don't see any information on the boards in regards to this hotel. I stayed at this resort back last year and loved the resort. I am just unsure about their wedding package.

Any information would be greatly appreciated....

Thanks for the information Cinnamoroll.. Can I ask why did you decide on the Great Parnassus over real resorts? I am too considering The Royal based on their wedding package but we will be styaing at the Great Parnassus and have to pay for non-real resorts for roughly about 30 to 40 guest. We stayed at the Great Parnassus back in January 2009 and loved it. I am just a little unsure about having wedding their due to it not being a popular location and their wedding package. Lastly how was the gazebo location at the Great Parnassus for what I remember I thought it was too close to pool where people can possibly be in the pictures.

Hi there! I am also looking at the Great Parnassus. I was there last year and stayed in one of the rooms with the Jacuzzi on the private balcony (all facing the water). It was an AMAZING room. The hotel itself is fabulous as well. They have a huge variety of food and there's something there for everyone. The pools are great and I really liked the option of an adults only section as well as the kids area option. Good choice to accomodate the entire family. I also noticed that everything in the hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The only thing to note is that it was extremely windy on the beach in front of the hotel. So keep that in mind when looking at hairstyle options as well as bridesmaid dress options :o) Happy planning!!

I'd be curious to know how your decision turns out...and how the WC has been with communication so far!! I actually considered this resort first because it is owned by the owner of a hotel that i used to work at down in cancun, and becuase we have a few friends working there now - BUT i had to go against that plan when i started talking with the WC. She was very slow at responding to me, AND when she would respond, the answers were not complete...AND she was unable to give me a price on what we wanted to do since it was not in their usual package (we wanted to use the entire adult pool area for the reception). BUT when i was there in September (stayed at the GP when i went for my site visit at Dreams) i did let them know why i changed my plans...so hopefully they have it figured out now!!! On the upside - the resort is great place for vacation!

Hey Ladies,

I have put my deposit down at the Gran Real Caribe at the oceanfront gazebo.... But my guest and I will be staying at the Great Parnassus because we loved the resort and the prices are one of the best for an all inclusive.

The Wedding Coordinators at the Gran Real have been very responsive.

I stayed at the Great Parnassus two years ago and I loved it! I was surprised that they were not holding any weddings there. I think they probably do but they probably do not have any packages like the other bigger resorts. I think that place is an amazing place to hold a wedding.

You probably can if you requested it. I haven't really heard a lot of people getting married at the Great Parnassus which is kind of surprising considering that it's a really nice family friendly resort.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
