Hello Brides!

My name is Clarissa. I plan to wed in Mexico on 10/10/10. But the more research I do, the more discouraged I get. Hopefully this site can guide me in the right direction and give me hope.

Wish me luck!

Well, that might be a popular date but certainly it's possible. We have recently started planning for November 2010 and have been able to get dates at our first choice for location. Hopefully everything else works out too. Welcome to the forum and happy planning.

hi Clarissa,

welcome to the site :) I have heard some people say they couldn't book it as it was fully booked already, but just research possible hotels and go for the one that still has availability! GOOD LUCK!

congrats on your upcoming wedding and HAPPY PLANNING!

Congratulations! Welcome to the forum... it truly makes planning a DW so much easier! 10.10.10 is going to be a popular date, so make sure to book as early as you can. I know our resort didn't allow booking more than 10 months prior, so resorts that have similar policies will be great for you!

I think that it's totally possible! We have our wedding planned for this April and only got our resort booked at the very end of August this past year (not even eight months earlier!). As some of the girls mentioned, and I'm sure you know, that's going to be a super popular date which may cause a few issues, but if you can keep an open mind about which resort you want ie. don't get completely set on just one, and make sure that you have maybe a Top 5 list in hand then start emailing the wedding coordinators and see what they can tell you!

GO FOR IT!

Totally possible! I only started planning my wedding in December! And it is in May. So, you have a few more months than I do. I think someone did already point out that it will; probably be a popular date, but if you are flexible on the location you shouldnt have a problem!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
