Help me pick an All-Inclusive Resort Please!

Recommended Posts

OK...we are trying to pick our venue for our May 2011 wedding. We are pretty set on somewhere in Mexico since airfare seems pretty cheap for our guests. So far Dreams Puerto Vallarta is our resort of choice but the prices are going up and they have a lot of hidden charges now. SO...we just want to get a few more options to check out. Here is what we are looking for:

1) All-Inclusive

2) Under $150 night per person for a decent guest room

3) Nice suite under $500/night for me and FI

4) Nice beach

5) Good food

6) Somewhere we can have a dinner and then some dancing afterwards

I think that's about it! LOL Can anyone recommend somewhere other than Dreams? If not, I guess we'll just head there! Thanks ladies!

I agree wiwth Jess ~ contact a TA. Dreams was so awesome and well within your price range and other criteria. It definitely has the best beach in comparison to all of the other AIs I have visited in Cancun, Cabo, Playa del Carmen. I believe we paid around $2500 for 11 nights.

Lol ~ I'm in the same boat you are but we're running out of time & need to decide. I think we've decided on PV, but wondering the pros and cons of other AI resorts. Also, I keep getting 50 to 60 % off specials from travel sites & it's starting to get confusing on where to get the biggest bang for the buck for everybody. I've spent hours researching, but I have a son that's starting to resent me spending more time on the computer then with him. I might have to move our wedding into 2011 which stinks because it's even harder to find pricing info. It's tough to just ask on here sometimes, because some people are offended that I didn't "search" for the answer. Oh well ~ good luck! : )

I hear you Sunshine! After hours upon hours upon HOURS of research on here and the internet we're pretty sure about Dreams PV. It's hard to do a search on here because it just points you to a general thread. Some of the threads are soooo long it takes hours just of scrolling through posts to find what you're looking for. But once found the info is invaluable! I wish there was a more detailed search option that would take you right to the specific post as opposed to the general thread. Perhaps there is and I just haven't found it yet! cheesy.gif

I've done price comparisons on the cost of the wedding, quality of resort and cost for our guests. So far it's the most bang for our buck I can find. The reviews are all fantastic and the resort seems safe for our safety concerned guests. If you find out anything please feel free let me know! I would love some input! I will also let you know if I find out anything about a better resort! I will be traveling to PV in April so I'm going to be able to do a recon mission at Dreams. Hoping I will make a decision then! cheesy.gif Let me know if you want me to check on anything for you! Good luck...I feel your pain!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
