Thanks for the info :) I have read up as much as I can about the weather there in October, and most reports say its nice and hot, with a bit of a breeze (hopefully not alot of harsh wind) and if theres any rains its a bit of a shower at night. I just havent actually been able to talk to anyone who's BEEN there then. I'm crossing my fingers, and knocking on wood....warm and sunny..with maybe a bit of a breeze.

Well after all the fuss we decided on Spring Break 2011 instead of December. I was quite worried about the weather and though it seems like a long way away it's really not....an advantage we have is that we are going to Cuba in two days (for this Spring Break) so we are hoping a friend that I know there is able to take us to a few of the resorts we are considering. Maybe by the time we come back I'll have one or two places in mind! So we will now be married somewhere between March 26 and April 2nd 2011!!! Thanks for all the suggestions/input!

We are now back from Cuba(sorry for the delay in posting) and had a great trip. Thanks to my friend down there we were able to tour a few of the resorts. We really love the Laguna Azul and Iberostar Varadero but they seem to be a little out of our price range so for now we are getting quotes on Iberostar Tainos and Barcelo Solymar. They are middle of the road resorts but are decent. I have previously stayed at both and were happy with them. And now the fun planning begins!

I booked Sirenis La Salina as well for the week of Feb.1-8. Our guests are thrilled with the price we got (939 plus taxes) I think anything under 1000 for a destination wedding is a great deal.

Glad you had some fun on your trip and you will be back in Cuba, getting married before you know it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
