Hola all! I am actually the mom of the future groom. He and his bride to be are both finishing up college and working so their schedules are very hectic. I am helping them with some of the planning for their wedding. They are getting married at the Grand Caribe Real Cancun during the week of Thanksgiving 2010. Probably Monday at sunset. They will be legally wed in the States prior to the wedding. We are all from the Dallas area.

 

They are having a relatively small wedding in Cancun (although the guest list continues to grow daily wink.gif Probably 25-30 people. They are planning a reception back home a couple weeks after they return from Cancun.

 

I have been reading this forum for weeks - so much info! I still have lots of questions!

Wow it's really thoughtful of you to help them out like this! I just graduated and don't have a job yet, but even with my free schedule, it still feels like there's so much to do, so I'm sure they really appreciate it. I hope you find all the info you need! :) Happy planning!

Welcome from a guy in the Dallas area as well! The vendor marketplace is a great way to find vendors, and we have lots of talented people on the board. Some even have contests occasionally and others are offering discounts to help build their portfolio. Whatever questions you have, just start asking. We have a very helpful and friendly community here!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
