I wasn't sure if this was a thread yet but I thought it would be fun to share our own ideas, attire, traditions and over all take on this wedding day staple :)

My Something Old: Paloma Blanca #3802, Natural Color

Me & my groom are paying for wedding, but my parents were wonderful enough to give me a budget for my dress. My search started and I found my perfect dress, which fit in the budget... so I thought could I find the dress lovingly worn for half the $$? Then I could have my dream dress AND DREAM SHOES! So I was lucky enough to find my Paloma Blanca in the Natural color and the same size that I needed at 1/3 of the cost with alterations!!

Fun Wedding Cake Toppers Grooms, Garters, Pillows

I am a Florida State fan & my groom Univ. of Miami, so I'm having one made with his logos on one side and mine on the other so It will be similar to these. I want to kind of trick him to think it is just Miami, but when you flip it over it has my team :)

Something Borrowed: Veil and Hair Flower

My sister is getting married a few months before me and we wanted to borrow something from each other. So our grandmother wanted to purchase us a veil or head band to wear. We decided on a very simple hand-made veil by a family friend and will be ordering a hair flower. We will borrow the items from each other :).

So I have just a small update to my traditions... I've decided not to go with the Blue Manolos... crazy I know! When I tried them on they were too tall for my dress and the beading on the top of the shoe was catching on the hem... tear! So I spent the last 2 1/2 months looking for something that would work... seriously the shoes took longer to find than my dress!!!

I found these Kate Spade hot pink shoes and couldn't stop thinking about them and of course they were sold out!!! Thankfully Zappos brought them back and I ordered them right away! I am so happy with them!! Now I need my something Blue! Oh this is a never ending process :) but a fun one :)!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
