My name is Tory Zumberge.

I hope my wedding date will be somewhere b/t Oct 2010 and Feb 2011.

There are too many DW to choose from so I am still working on that part. My in laws do not want to get passports but my fiance and I always hoped to do a MX/carribean weddng at an All-Inclusive resort. Any suggestions for convincing them that leaving the US is an ok idea?

Hi! Have you tried just coming to the conclusion that you'll TRY and make it affordable & convenient for everybody, but in the long run ~ it's your day. Make a decision that makes YOU happy ~ you only have this one day thats "YOURS", and stick to it! Let everybody know that you would LOVE them to come, but understand if they can't. JMOO ~ Goodluck! : )

Hi Tory, welcome to the forum and congrats on your upcoming wedding. I think it's totally normal to have some issues with some family members at the beginning of your planning process, but in the end everyone will love your DW and talk about it for years to come. :-)

Happy Planning

Welcome from another TX bride!! Maybe once you have a location in mind you can point out all the pros of a DW and the location to your in-laws. Maybe even help them with the process of applying for their passport? good luck! You are going to love being a part of this forum! Happy Planning!

Welcome Tory! My family lives in the Austin-San Antonio area too :) They were hesitant about Mexico at first, but they had a blast and my mom is going around telling everyone that she is eating every bad thing she said about a DW. You will find a lot of great advice on this forum. Happy planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
