Dreams PV: Deals on your room for booking 30?

Recommended Posts

we just met with our travel agent yesterday. She had some really high quotes from Air Canada ( we went with them last year when we went to Dreams PV and decided to have the wedding there this year) BUT she was strongly favoring WestJet. They had a significant difference in price. It was based on a rate for Oct. We are going in Nov so she thought it would be close to that. She even said that West Jet would give you a cheaper price if it so happens the price drops after the fact you have already booked and paid.

As far as rates are concerned mine are similar. I worked with a TA and stated in my contract with the resort is that for every night there are at least 15 rooms booked at double occupancy (30 guests) we get 1 free night. The catch is that the rooms need to be booked through the TA to count toward this. If guest book through expedia it does not count.

I have to pay for the trip in full before we go, so I am not sure how I get that money back. I will let you know once I figure it out.

Hi there!

I have just officially booked our wedding at Dreams PV on June 9, 2011 :)

I also did a room block using a TA (Teresa Stauring from Vacations for Less) - we blocked out 12 rooms, and these are the rates she gave us:

Deluxe: $110/person

Deluxe w/ balcony: $120/person

Preferred Jr. Suite: $164/person

We also get the "book 5 rooms, get 1 free" deal - so will get 2 rooms comped.

I don't know when your wedding will be, so maybe the rates would be different?

Good luck!

Sheila

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
