Now that I have your attention with my interesting title! This is not exactly wedding related, but it has rocked my world, since the victim in this video is a very good friend, former team mate of my fiance, and is supposed to attend our wedding...

 

Our dear friend Mikael (affectionately referred to as Tiger by us, because of his ethnic background) was hit by Patrice Cormier on open ice, and then went into convulsions. The video is graphic, and I would like to warn you that if you are sensitive to this type of thing you should not watch the video.

This is the kind of bullsh*t in hockey that has to stop. Our friend could have very easily died yesterday, all because someone was being a vicious idiot...

 

He is in stable condition as of late in the hospital, suffering from brain trauma (more than just a concussion), and most of his teeth are missing. We are hoping for a speedy recovery, with no lasting repercussions.

 

Please, say a prayer for our dear friend tonight... he sure needs it.

Just watched the video I am beyond pissed they did not kick him off the team for such a cheap shot. Growing up with 3 hockey brothers seeing this kind of BS is just wrong. What are they thinking. I mean come on.....Yeah kicked off and banned from the NHL!

I hope your friend recovers fast. Its weird in a way because you see and hear about it but it seem so much more real when people who loved him talk about it. I hope he recovers and can play again. I can't imagine what his family and all of you must be going through.

 

 

What a disgrace to Canadian Hockey. I'm not against hitting in hockey. What I think is so disgusting here is he tried to hurt him on purpose. He has no class. Did the same thing against the Swede player. I hope your friend has a speedy recovery. Its not shocking that this so called leader couldn't lead the team. He should for sure be banned. Most likely won't happen but he should never put on a Team Canada sweater again in his life.
