I'd love to hear what you are doing about yarmukles, ketubah, etc.! Thanks,

Hi Allegra,
Here is what I have ordered so far:
Ketubah: ketubah.com
Yarmukles: Yarmulke | Kippah | Benchers | Kippot | Tallit
Kosher food for our rabbi, challah & kosher wine (for ceremony): Kosher Order Form - Chabad Lubavitch Jewish Center of Cancun. This is through the Chabad in Cancun; they require 3 weeks notice prior to delivery. I've emailed the rabbi there a few times and he is very nice & replies to my emails right away.
Mazol tov glass (for groom to stomp on at the end of the ceremony): Jewish Gifts, Judaica, Wedding Gifts, Bar & Bat Mitzvah Gifts, Jewish Baby Gifts

Feel free to PM me w/ any questions:) What resorts in RM are you considering?
-Alexis

My thinking is we are going to do a legal wedding in Mexico followed by a Jewish symbolic wedding done by a rabbi who also happens to be a family member. I hope it runs smoothly. I am not so interested to going to a courthouse in the states and just having a symbolic wedding in Mexico. To me it's getting legally married that I want people around for. Otherwise it feels like just a show.

I just hope we can convince the wedding coordinator to let us stay like 20 mins more so we can do all the Jewish traditions in the same place as the legal wedding. Should be interesting!

There is now a Rabbi living in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, serving the area from Playa Mujeres to Tulum.  This of course includes Cancun, Riviera Cancun (Puerto Morelos) Riviera Maya (Mayakoba), Playa Del Carmen and points south to Tulum.  He is a modern, progressive Rabbi who will perform traditional Jewish, Contemporary Jewish AND Jewish Interfaith wedding ceremonies.  Create your dream ceremony with your personal Rabbi.  Contact rabbisteve@mexicorabbi.com

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
