Maybe it is 15CUC/person and if you want lobster it is an additional 18CUC/person on top of the 15CUC if you dine at 6:30. And If you dine at 8:30 it is only 15CUC for those eating off the proposed menu, and only 18CUC for lobster...could that be right?

I'm confused! Does anyone have the clear answers to this? I've emailed Yahimara so many times with this, I think we are confusing each other.

Also Yahimara told me that the cake cannot be served after the ceremony. There is a list of hor dourves to choose from and it is 10CUC/person if you want to serve something with the champagne.

Ok so I emailed Yahimara and questioned her about the private dinner at 8:30 since her email yesterday stated that there was a charge but one of her previous emails she sent when I first contacted her stated that it was free. She is now saying that it is free depending on how many guests, so now I'm waiting to confirm with her what is meant by that. Nothing seems to be clear and if I didn't bring up the previous email, she wouldn't have said anything. Check and re-check all of your email correspondence, pricing seems to change depending on the day.

Another thing that bothers me is that when I confirmed with her that the wedding package is 700CUC, she responded that the prices will be going up and she doesn't have them right now but it is no longer 700 CUC and I should expect to pay more. I emailed her back and stated that I booked my ceremony before this price increase so I shouldn't have to pay more and she then said that it was ok and I would get it for 700CUC. Ladies make sure you follow up with her, like I said before you don't want to get to Cuba and be presented with a bill that has all these extra charges!

Barrierunner it looks like we are going through the same thing. In our early emails from Sept Yahimara stated the 8:30 private dinner was free, and in the email I got yesterday she is now saying there is a charge. I sent her a copy of the earlier email where she said it was free and now I am waiting to hear back from her.

In the early emails I was also quoted 700CUC for the ceremony so this is something else I am going to have to clarify with her. Like you said, the last thing any of us want is to get down there and be bombarded with all these 'extra' fees.

It's not okay to keep adding hidden costs to things, so we all need to make sure we bring all copies of any correspondance we have with the resort.

Wow, all this price confusion would drive me crazy! Ladies, you're so patient!! This kind of thing is normal though...I used to live in the Dominican Republic and the same kind of thing happened there. It's great advice to hang onto all your emails and even print them off and bring them in a binder with you to the resort so that you have a leg to stand on in case there are any discrepencies in the prices!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
