Hello everyone my name is Kate Campbell and I was just married on January 8th 2010 in Aruba on Eagle Beach to be exact. I am posting this message to praise my photographer who's work as you can see in my below link is phenomenol.

After months of searching thru referrals from my local wedding planner I just wasn't satisfied knowing this is one of the most important parts of the day that can't be "redone" if I didn't like the pictures taken. So I kept on searching on numerous sites and low and behold I came across Dianna's site and thought I would by chance see what if any possibility was of her schedule being free for my big day. I immediately emailed her directly about my Aruba date and she said she was available to shoot our big day that was happening in only a few short weeks.

I can honestly tell you that I had been searching and searching for months and just didn't want to "settle" on a local photographer who I knew the picture quality was not what I was looking for. Once I spoke to Dianna I knew I had to have her shoot my wedding, her shooting style is exactly what I was looking for and she is a ton of fun. After spending the day emailing back and forth ideas etc and knowing she was as excited about it as I was I was so relaxed and excited it was as though a million pounds had been lifted off my shoulders. She is a wonderful person who knows what is important to brides on their big day & makes sure she asks you what picture styles etc that you want well in advance to avoid bugging you on your day.

Dianna is a professional perfectionist who takes the time and consideration to source the lighting (sunset times),picture styles we wanted and the best "must have" shot locations, most photographers will not do this for you especially on the island.

Dianna Hart is the most talented photographer I found in the over 40 that I contacted & without her shooting us on our big day, the images just would not have been close to the same. Below are our pictures and the link to Dianna's website, please feel free to check them out and hire her, she is in New York (but don't let that steer you away her prices are reasonable and she is afterall known for shooting destination wedding's).

If anyone would like to pm me about her I would be happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have. I am not related to Dianna nor was I asked to write this about her, I was and am more than happy with her photographs and feel that a great service should be passed along to other brides looking for the same satisfaction on the biggest day of their lives!

Trust me as you will see it is well worth it!

Thank you ladies, I did notice not many Aruba brides when I was planning so I thought I had better post away! lol

My Review on the Ocean Suite Renaissance:

I have to say that I was impressed the day of the wedding with Juney Jones (the wedding planner) it was months of planning and emailing on "island time", but all in all it went amazing! The day of course flew by, but without any hiccups and I honestly to say I was shocked in lieu of the many details I had requested all were fullfilled.

If you are considering an Aruba wedding, I can say that I did mine a little differently. I was married on Eagle Beach, provided a shuttle service for my guests from the Ren property to the beach (10 min drive), this beach as you might be aware if you have been to Aruba before is the most beautiful beach they have on the island. I chose it for a couple of reasons, one the beautiful white sand and turquoise water (of course) and secondary because of the famous divi divi trees along the beach would add great detail to the pictures. I wanted our pictures to be breathtaking, to be much different than I had seen in the past and I am so glad I chose an off site wedding for the difference in our pictures.

We then once the ceremony was completed & the bride and grooms photo shoot was done on the beach, boarded the shuttle and headed back to the private ocean suite beach for our reception. We had candle lit filet mignon and lobster tail dinner, dancing and a private bar to serve our guests all night long. I have to say that you can make your twist on the base packages provided by the hotels, just advise what you want and don't settle it can be done. Trust me!

I would not have changed a thing, we had ponly our guests at the party on the private beach it was secluded, beautiful and the pictures are breathtaking.

If you would like any contact information for the following services that I used please just let me know and I can send them to you;

DJ - Tino (the dj for our party played form 6-12am)

Photographer - Dianna Hart (was brought from NY) Destination Weddings by Dianna Hart

Wedding Planner - Juney Jones (Renaissance Ocean Suite wedding planner)

Stell Drum Player - Our wedding music was played by this fellow and was amazing.

Officiant - Wonderful ceremony and under 20 minutes, with the flexibility to be longer if you wanted.

Thanks about the pictures, I was thrilled to see them as well.

I thought the same way (Island Bride) but when I got there my first trip in 2006, I was amazed at how upset the locals were over the whole situation. It truly devastated the island. Many, Many people die in FLA, Canada and anywhere else for that matter that we never hear about. Go and check it out, it's costly for those use to spending 2k on a vacation will be more in the 3-3500.00 USD range but it's well worth it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
