June 2010 Brides!

Recommended Posts

Hello June Brides!

We are winding down to our big DAY!! I have been pulling so much together lately. I swear the UPS/Fed Ex guys stops by at least twice a week lol. I ordered candles, favors, maracas, dresses, thank you umbrella, welcome bag stuff, knife kit (for cake), and soooo much more. YIKES!! I am just a little nervous about how I am going to get it all down there lol.

The plane tickets are still really high. I can't believe it. I feel so bad because a friend of mine just paid $700.00 for a plane ticket. However, I was told that plane tickets should be going down in April for the spring so cross your fingers in luck. I still have about 15 people who RSVP'd but haven't booked their room or plane tickets yet. They still say they are coming... but these plane tickets may cause them not to.

Yay 2 more months! I'm in the same boat as you but I have most things delivered to my work... the mailroom ladies have got to be wondering what is up! In the last week I've had chair sashes, passports, ties, keycard holders and wristbands delivered to work and this week I'm expecting water proof cameras, travel mugs, bags and more! Plus there are things I have yet to place orders for. The thought of how I'm going to get everything down is starting to make me nervous as well! Some things for our OOT bags are really bulky... the mugs especially have me concerned. YIKES! But I'm getting soo excited...

My BD shoot is in 2 weeks and my bachelorette party and shower are next month. It's all coming together!

How's everyone else doing? How are the plans coming along?

Hi Carly! We're wedding day twins!! Ours in in Key West, though. We've been navigating the rocky waters of airfare lately and it has been super stressful, but we're managing (we're covering costs & booking flights for some of our guests).

Hey ladies, I can't believe how quickly this is all happening - it seems like it was only a little while ago that I was getting excited that our wedding was less than 1 year away - and now here we are just a little over 50 days away! I feel like I have most of the major stuff handled - and I'm pretty sure we've got our final guest list now. I still have to get my dress fitted, but I think I will try to wait a little longer bc I have been trying to work out lots so I want to make sure I'm not going to change too much before the big day. I've also just started tanning :). We also have to write vows and finalize music choices but I'm not worrying about that until it gets a bit closer.

Hope everyone's planning is going well!

Yeah! Key West was on our list as well! Can you belive only 10 weeks?

That's great that you are covering costs but you are right that it makes the travel planning more stressful for the two of you. Hang in there!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
