Nicola, all we can hope for is good bull market in 2010, and a fat bonus to pay for a good TTD session + honeymoon! LOL! After years of doing the CFA, sometimes I wonder if it is worth all those endless study days and nights.

Mischaka, you are so lucky! I wish I can get a 110% confirmation from my god brother and he can be my photographer.

Hey Ladies,

Congrats to all the 2011 brides to be! I had made a couple of posts when this thread first started, however, things have been crazy busy for me being a graduate student, working almost full time, and to top it off I've had this horrible cold for pretty much the entire month of February. Anyways, I'm back!

We are really excited because the resort, Riu Palace Las Americas, just accepted Jan. 15th, 2011 as our wedding date! We haven't signed any agreements yet because I have "convinced" Josh on taking a mini-vacation to visit some resorts in April. I'm actually shopping for rates this weekend.

Well, I'm glad to be back!

Welcome back! I totally understand! I was doing my MBA, CFA, FRM and working full time for the past 3 yrs. I am glad that I am over with that and I have my life back!

OMG I love Elizabeth Medina. I got a quote from her months ago now when we first started looking at hotels etc. Her work is fantastic. I would love to have her do our photos. But she is just way out of our budget. We will be spending thousands as it is staying for 2wks and everything else so we are sticking with photo caribbean (the hotel photographer). I've seen their work as my friend had them and they are lovely. If i win the lottery i would defo book Elizabeth ;o)

 

Like many of you i'm not doing a TTD either. I want to keep my dress for the AHR and buying a second one is just more money out of the budget. It does look like fun tho.

 

God i cant wait to go!!!!!!!!!

fsuambs... Great to see you back lovely :-) Definatly sounds like you've had a hectic month. Glad you've got rid of that cold.... they dont half get you down. Riu Palace Las Americas.... Beautiful place, are you visiting there in April aswell as others? I wish i could afford to do a site and surrounding areas visit, it would certainly give me the taste... mind you im bad enough now so maybe its a god thing!!! lol.

 

Michelle 15 months...WOW... its so exciting.... you now its scary aswell coz the time will probably fly by. Last may we seriously started to complile lists and set the time & date for our wedding (TBC) but we knew we wanted May 2011, and when i think back to that, the 9 months has gone so fast!!!

Where abouts in the UK are you from if you dont mind me asking?

Im from Warrington Cheshire... but now live in Annan, Scotland as my FI is from here. Sorry im just being my usual self and being nosey :-p

OMG i know this year even is flying by. It's March tomorrow! How mad is that!! Some of you ladies have less than a year to go. Soooo exciting.

15 months Yippee!! We've just been out for a meal with the family to celebrate Mum & Dad's 40th Wedding Anniversary! Most of the conversation was about weddings. I love it!!!!
