Any 2011 Brides out there?

Nicola,

LOL! Colorblind females are rare, because it is a recessive trait, and the gene is only on the X chromosone. If you get boys in the future, they will be 100% colorblind, and 100% of your girls will not be colorblind, just carrier of the trait (if your mom isn't colorblind, she is probably a carrier of the trait).

Poor you! There are a few shade of Aqua...and I know you must be..not sure..hmmm. I gave my grand mom a sapphire ring, and she kept saying ..the Ruby has a very nice red hue. My dad once bought a can of WASABI green paint...and definately it wasn't the desired color for our living room (at least not for non-colorblind folks).

Hi Tara do you have a photobucket account?

In photobucket above the image you want to upload,

click on "share"

then click on "get link code"

then

IMG for bulletin boards & forums

choose either fullsize or thumbnail

copy the URL or IMG

when your back on here you need to go into "Go Advanced" when writing your post then click the little yellow icon (looks a bit like a mountain) and then paste the link in there......

Does that make sense?

(This is how i do it anyway)

Hope this makes sense so we can have a flash of your dress... :-)

Bonnie, Yeah i know its very unusual for girls to be colourblind, when me and my sister were younger people couldnt believe the 2 of us were then along came my bro and he is too. so yeah there is only my mum who isnt!

I remember years ago when i lived with my mum n dad, one day my mum said they were decorating the front room, and i said "finally as i hate the green on the walls in here and have done for years" n my mum replied GREEN!?!? Nicola its not green its a cream colour..... i just laughed my head off and so did my mum as for 8 years I thought i lived in a green front room......

I have had some funny experiences with it, Haha but also some really embarrasing & frustrating ones too... :-)

Thank you SO MUCH!!! I love the little lace sleeves too. Strapless is not really my best look, so when I saw this dress, I knew this was it.

Yes, I am wearing a veil. I got it the same day:

Are you doing a veil or flowers?

I was thinking of taking it off for the reception and doing some kind of flower. I plan on wearing my hair loosely curled and mostly down. Not sure yet.

BTW, if anyone is trying to grow their hair long, I have been taking these biotin pills and it seems to be working. My hair stylist recommended them. You can get them at any health food store. I got mine at GNC. They're called hair, skin & nails.

Can't wait to see your dress too! Be sure to post!

Wow you look gorgeous! Really lovely dress. Beautiful!!!! I bet you are so pleased! I have a big train on my dress to but i'm going to have it shortened a bit! I'm not going with a veil maybe just a flower in my hair but undecided!

BTW a friend of mine got married in Sept at Iberostar Maya and speaks very highly so you have made a good choice!

Nicyx - Can you imagine us when we've booked, lol. Couple of nutters!

Oh and hello to all the new brides!

Lindobride14- That's great!!! You're the first one that has the same one as I do. Where are you having your wedding at? Yes!! Maybe we can spot each other!!!

No, I haven't heard back from the WC yet. I really want to get my contract from that resort so I can make that deposit. I don't want to be like "oh sorry" that day is all booked out and that we can't have our wedding that day. Since we already book our rooms/airfare!!

Yeah I agree with some of you ladies it really freaks me out as well!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
