Any 2011 Brides out there?

Recommended Posts

Thanks again for all the compliments, girls !!!

Geez I leave for 4 days and what the format is completely different on here, what the hell happened!  LOL.  I love that it is easier to post pics now though.

Is anyone doing a rehearsal dinner outside of their resort?  I was planning on just doing it at the Japanese hibachi restaurant at the resort since it's all-inclusive, but I'd kind of like to take everyone into Playa to a nice restaurant.  That could get very expensive, but I'm going to look into it.

Anyone have any suggestions . . .especially you PDC brides?  I heard about that restaurant that's in a cave which sounds really cool.

Bonnie, I posted a reply to you last night, but I don't see it here. Guess I'm not too good with the new format.

He used those little individual false lashes on the outer corners only.  The individuals are great because they look much more natural than the full sets.

The salon is a little off the beaten path.  It's not on the main strip of 5th Ave.  It's on 5th Ave but the cross street is way down on 60th Street.  I'd highly suggest taking a cab.  They will also come right to your resort for no charge if you guarantee four women.

Initially, I thought of it too, plus my resort is right on PDC, so there is no need to pay extra for cabs.  There are a few restos in PDC that are very nice, with nice steak and seafood.  The cave one is cool, the food was ok, but not WOW.  There is another place with 2nd and 3rd floor, offers $68 USD 2 persons meal, with 4 lobsters, 1 big fish, a few shrimp and crabs.  However, my FI was against that because at the rate of approx. $50 per person, it can add up pretty fast, and we have very nice restos at the resort with exquisit menu already.  Therefore, we will do it at the resort.

Yeah I know,  last time, I walked to the 38th Street, and it was like a good 10 min of walk!

The falsies look super natural on you! ah~ I envy long lashes.

Your hair and makeup look lovely. Glad to hear that everything went well. How did your meetings go with the florist and Ivan Luckie? Do you have any pics of some of the flowers? Which ones did you go with? I am considering booking Ivan Luckie as my photographer and was just wondering how your meeting went?

I also read on the Iberostar thread that you were considering going with the Del Mar because of the Italian restaurant. Thats where we are having our reception! Isn't it soooo pretty! Are you switching resorts?

They are just perfect..... £6.99, WHAT A BLOODY BARGAIN!!!!!!  They look so nice on aswell, the pix hardley do it any justice!!! and they will fit my " I DO " stickers on the bottom perfectly :-) And the heel isnt to high, i love HIGH heels but as im going barefoot for the ceremony i dont want anything high as my dress would look odd!!! either too short with shoes or too long without and i think these will be perfect :-) Im so so pleased with them xox

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
