Plus I want them to be able to wear the dress again after the wedding. Shoes are no biggie, we're all going barefoot...and for the groomsmen, I was just thinking white button up shirt with khaki pants.

Anyone else doing it this way, or does the cheese stand alone? Hehe.
Nope, you are not alone. I am planning to have Aqua-Blue BM dresses and white shirts for the boys too.

Mexbride, I love you dress! I also have my eyes on a mermaid dress...but not sure if I would look nice in a mermaid. I totally understand the problem of medical uninsured people in US, sometimes, I feel sorry for them. Don't get me wrong, I think universal medicare coverage isn't perfect, but at least it provide a better safety net for people.

Michelle, I love your BM dresses! so cute and girly!

The cheese doesn't stand alone :) We planned on doing white button ups & khakis for the guys. For my bridesmaids, I can't seem to decide on a color. I'm going to let them pick out whatever dress they like, as long as it's a shorter one. I really like pool (which is aqua), watermelon, & guava from David's Bridal. I have some time to decide - I think I've already changed my colors like four times!

I really like the guava at David's . We looked here before deciging on a one shoulder chiffon dress by Allure from House of Brides. I posted it on here about a month ago.

You might try looking there if you haven't already. Price range is comparable to David's. It was important to me that the dresses not be too $$ since my girls are already dropping so much cash on their trips.

We are doing half the girls in hot pink (similar to DB watermelon) and half will wear a bright coral. The coral is more on the hot pink-y side rather than orangy. The two colors are actually quite similar but look beautiful together.

they also do this dress in aqua blue for the ladies liking blue. I am the same. Two of my BM's are a size 10 and MOH is a size 16. This dress is perfect for them all. So light and cool and the floaty skirt is great for all sizes. I think as you are drawn to the shoulder detail it takes away the size of the BM. I was worried as the girls are different sizes but this dress is just perfect and honestly it looks so pretty on compared to on the hanger. When the girls try on i will take pic and post so you can see :o)

We are also having the men in white shirts!

Bonnie i like that dress! I personally wouldn't like anything to high up around my neck for a Mexican wedding (think i would be too hot) but it is really pretty x

Glad you girls like our colors wink.gif

As for the guys, we are a bit stuck on this one. We are not too ipressed with anything we've seen thus far. Some formalwear stores will rent tan suits, but we didn't like them in person. We found one we actually did like for rent, and the rental cost was $200 given the length of the rental (over a week)

Then we found that same suit that we liked for sale online:

Sand 'Riviera' 2 Button Notch Destination Suit Coat

(Sorry, too lazy to upload photo!)

Jacket is 129 and pants are 80. They said they'd do 10% off since we're ordering so many. So for about $189 they can own it rather than waste the $ renting.

Do you guys think that's too much to ask the guys to spend? Be honest if you do.

The other option would be have FI wear the whole suit and the guys just wear the pants and white shirts.

Keep in mind though that we're getting married in church so it's a bit more formal. I think the shirt and pants would look nice with brown sandals, but the guys are wearing dress shoes.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
