Sooo.... I'm going for my BD photo shoot today.  I'm a bit nervous, never really been naked in front of strangers before hehe.  The photographer is male too so that doesnt help matters.  His female assistant is there the whole time for wardrobe and styling though. Taking the plunge and doing a more risque shoot, some semi-nudes (think more Playboy vs. Maxim)  I'll be channeling my inner vixen today.  Wish me luck!!

Good luck and have lots of fun! I have mine booked for next week :)

Michelle,

hahahaha...I do have a mini winter tire!  Unfortunely with tires...the only way to melt them is to burn more calories, sit ups and other crunches will not help.  I can have a nice 6 packs, but they will be hidden under my layer of fat.  I do realize that there is no way I could lose that mini tire, because I do want live nicely and not be deprived from all the goodies like wines, icecream ...etc.

I will just cut my sodium intake (very hard to do, since I have biz lunch everyday), I would probably lose that 5 lbs of water, and get more toned arms and legs with pilates.

Thanks for the encouragement, ladies!  It actually went really, really well.   I was not uncomfortable whatsoever . . . and I'm happy I went with a male photog like you said, Bonnie.  He had a great eye for positioning and posing.  I cannot wait till I get the proofs on Thursday!!  From the previews I saw at the shoot, I have a feeling I will be very pleased!

If any of you are considering it, but are self-conscious about certain areas of your body, honestly JUST DO IT!!  The way they position you feels ridiculous -- butt pushed WAY out, back completely arched, all your weight on left leg, move your hips all the way to the right, etc, etc. -- but seriously looks like wow!!  That cannot be my body!  I saw a butt shot of me that I could have sworn was Miranda Kerr! hahahaha . . . and trust me, I may be a small girl, but I have always had some cellulite/firmness issues with my lower body.  They really know a woman's body and how to make it look its best!  Really makes me wonder just how "flawless"  these victoria's secret angels' bodies are in person. LOL

I will post some of the PG-13 rated photos in a few days.   Murmel, good look and have fun next week!

I would wait next spring to do mine, so I can have longer hair and more time to tone my body!

I'm really excited about the photographer I chose.  It's www.redchairphotography.com.  Not cheap, but I always say there's some things you don't skimp on.  I'll probably only do this once in my life, so I'd rather spend more and get the highest quality product.

Taking the plunge and doing a more risque shoot, some semi-nudes (think more Playboy vs. Maxim)  I'll be channeling my inner vixen today.  Wish me luck!!

Yes, but am waiting until after xmas to buy..... trying to spread out costs like yourself... but getting the big things out of the way first... That hasnt stopped me looking though so i do have a rough idea of what im getting :-)

I have booked my apt today for next wednesday to go and get measured for my dress.... Whoo Whoo.. finally pulled my finger out!!! I will order and put deposit on too.... did ask to see if they would discount the dress coz im cheeky like that which she said she couldnt do but said she will throw a veil in... so £110 veil for nothing.... :-)

My dress is finally being ordered!!!! :-) Starting to feel "real now" x0x

Too much fun - but destination weddings sure do add up in other ways that you don't initially think about!

You must be so excited you are getting measured - one more thing to check off the list :)  Nice job on the veil.  I'm such an idiot, when I went dress shopping and found my dress - I lost all sense of bargaining - didn't even try!  Once I came back to my senses, I realized I should have tried for something!  Grrr!

I did check out a couple of places for bandeau tops because there is no way I am having obvious tan lines. I actually found a cute one piece with a little skirt but am holding off until later.

Most of our major stuff has been purchased, except for airline tickets and grooms attire. As I see stuff in the stores, I will pick it up.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
