This site has so many reviews and examples of photography by all of the major photographers in the Riviera Maya - so there should be plenty of info to help you make your decision.  You might even be able to ask a bride what price she was charged to see if there is room to negotiate!

Here are pictures of me in the sample of my dress taken at the dress shop .  Pardon the look of the bridal store - it is one of those places where you don't get a personal assistant, but it keeps the proces down.  If you are able to go to one of those on a week day you still get personal service while benefiting from the lower prices.  I am not a very ornate person, so this dress was perfect for me...

I have found a few photographers I like and who are available just trying to make the decision now, I am swaying towards Sascha Gluck.

You must be so thrilled to have your dress - I bet it is stunning. I am going shopping for mine next week!!

Your dress is gorgeous, Cgeris!!  Fits your body beautifully  -- looks like it was made for you.  You're fortunate that you won't have a hefty alterations bill!

Sooo.... I'm going for my BD photo shoot today.  I'm a bit nervous, never really been naked in front of strangers before hehe.  The photographer is male too so that doesnt help matters.  His female assistant is there the whole time for wardrobe and styling though.

I'm really excited about the photographer I chose.  It's www.redchairphotography.com.  Not cheap, but I always say there's some things you don't skimp on.  I'll probably only do this once in my life, so I'd rather spend more and get the highest quality product.

Taking the plunge and doing a more risque shoot, some semi-nudes (think more Playboy vs. Maxim)  I'll be channeling my inner vixen today.  Wish me luck!!

Thanks!  I don't have much of a figure (esp up top), so this dress was able to follow my curves on the bottom and disguise the top.  I am not terribly girly, so the ruffles on the bottom were perfect for me - just a touch of feminine.

LOL! I am sure you will be fine!  I prefer male photog, because the final audience of BD pics is a male! hahahaha..just drink some wine!

I would wait next spring to do mine, so I can have longer hair and more time to tone my body!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
