Thankyou everyone..... what are your thoughts on strapless bras? I hate them usually, but think i´m going to need one under the frock. Trouble is they´re so uncomfortable, and they usually end up round my waist anyway. Anyone got an amazing magical bra to recommend?

I'm with you. Honestly, the BEST strapless bra I've ever found was a $15 one from the Maidenform outlet. I'm sure you could find something similar or have it shipped to Spain. I've got...uh...a large upper region, so it's really hard to find a strapless bra that doesn't give me four boobs or, like you, end up down around my waist. The Maidenform one is SUPER comfy and fits perfectly!!!

Hi..Beth Anne here

Just talked with wedding coordinator and I'm a bride to be January 17, 2011 at Dreams Riviera Cancun! The resort has phenomenal reviews and it is a 5 star rating- I spent alot of time choosing the right location and resort and also reading past travelers reviews, because thats really the only way you can get an idea. I'm so excited! Me and my fiance were on the fence about all the legal stuff required for a marriage in Mexico, and at first i was really against the idea of doing the court house at home and then just having the symbolic ceremony at the resort because we wanted our big day to feel like "our big day!!" But it turns out were both too squeemish about the required blood work (and clean needles in another country) and also we could save 800-1000 by doing it this way. We will go to the courthouse a few days before we leave and be very informal about it, we agreed to sign the papers, not kiss (shake on it instead) and not recite vows or exchange rings, that way the ceremony on the beach will feel like the real thing!

So excited. Any other 2011 dreams Riviera Cancun brides? and how far along are you in your planning? I'm curious if its difficult to plan a wedding by e-mail! =(

Right i´ll get looking on the internet. Mine used to be large and now are a sad shadow of their former selves frown.gif which are not where god intended them to be, infact they´re about 6 inches south of where god intended them to be. Can´t even put an exclamation mark at the end of that sentence, i´m too sad......

Hello Ladies: I just found this thread and it has been SO helpful... I am fairly new on here and just made the reservation for my May 2011 wedding in Playa Del Carmen!! I have a question though since I'm sure you all have way more experience at this point... Does anyone know if it is better to use a DW travel agent? If so does anyone know a good one? THANKS :)

Welcome and congratulations!!!

Yes, it's better to use a DW travel agent. Actually, the creator of this forum is one herself, and there are many other DW agents on this forum. There should be a banner at the top of the page...click on that and you'll be able to get in touch with one.

Not a silly question at all! We booked our wedding package through our resort & paid our deposit for the wedding only. I can only speak for booking at our resort - Iberostar. We will pay the hotel directly for all wedding package costs. We booked our wedding, knowing that the price might slighly increase for next year. The hotel will have a wedding coordinator that will get you all that information. Some resorts do have their 2011 rates available now - ours didn't.

For the flight/hotel, we are going through a local TA. We haven't booked our trip yet because our TA told us that flight information wasn't available for a year out yet (our date is June 25, 2011). I keep calling once every couple of weeks to check (and I'm sure I'm quickly becoming a pain in her butt).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
