Sometimes I wish I can have a bigger...errr..top half! ....LOL
Hehe no offense taken. I usually feel pretty darn good about myself until I catch a glimpse of me next to a size zero girl wink.gif But then again, I'm 5'9" so I generally feel like Shrek...most women are shorter than me too!

Geez...no wonder...I would love to be 5ft9 and large top half! If I am 5ft9 with a decent top half...I can fit in a mermaid...a halter top...trust me..a sweet heart and halter top are like a dream for a size zero girl..because i can never look good in these styles....sigh...

Is it normal to be a little nervous about the resort you pickedhuh.gif I don't know why but i'm starting to get a little nervous. Only because, honestly I've never traveled to Mexico and I am starting to second guess my choice as far as being, how can I put this...."racially friendly". lol I've been reading that the resort has a lot of European visitors. So I would hate to have my friends and family be uncomfortable because we are not treated fairly. I actually haven't said anything to anyone else about this. But i'm really feeling nervous about it.

I dont quite understand what you mean sorry - with regards to European being at your hotel - dont worry we are ok :-)
Put the boot on the other foot when us UK brides comes to Mexico we feel outnumbered by Americans and Canadians but everyone is at the hotel for the same reason - for a holiday and to have fun.

Mischaka,
Don't worried, Mexicans are very racial friendly and treat every guest with great service and smile. I've been to Cuba, where Americans' can't go, so there were all Cubans, UK folks, French folks, the rest of Europeans, Canadians and French Canadians. People got along fine, and no racial issue there. Last time, I went to Mayan Riviera, me and my best friend met several black families, 1 group of italians (always drunk), a lot of UK folks (very cool and some were smashed as well), the pair of constantly "picky" French, a bunch of French and non-French Canadians...everyone seemed to be very happy and had a great time!

(fits in perfect with the wedding on 28th) now they are saying they may have made a mistake and the flights might be on the 22nd after all! Arrrrgghhh - we are having a nightmare! cosmos have even advertised 24th flights on their website and are unsure when they actually are. So we are now waiting for confirmation when we can ACTUALLY fly! Vent over, lol.......
Cosmos seem really disorganised!!! OMG, hopefully after allthis messing you are going to get the dates you want.... its just one more stress you dont need at the moment!!! Wish they would just get it right for you :-)

First off, Josie, I cannot believe we are at the 8 month mark! Holy Cannoli, I need to get my butt in motion :)

So we mailed out the STD's on Tuesday (finally) bunny_4.gifI am glad that labor of love is over.

My new obsession these past few days is looking at invitations! Funny how the mind will always find a way to busy itself, huh?

Nicola- your invitations are lovely, by the way. I am so impressed that you did them completely DIY. I did my STD's only partially DIY & it took ages! Two of my BMs and I worked on them for over five hours last Saturday night!! They are angels for that. I supplied the alcohol though to make it a little more bearable!

Back to my quest to find the perfect invitation.

Here's the three I like best. They are all from White Aisle, which has such beautiful invitations if anyone is looking.

Which do you all like the best? I'm torn!

I LOVE this one, but don't know if it looks Mexican enough. It's called Shanghai, but doesn't really look Asian to me. (these are the actual colors we are doing, hot pink and coral)

This is the Venice:

Lace Invitation, Vintage Lace Design Wedding Invitation, Venetian Lace

And last but not least, Mexico!

Mexico Wedding invitation

Glad you like the invites :-) I was really pleased with myself with them as ive never made anything before and i was pretty pleased that for my 1st attempt EVER i did really well x

Excellent you have sent your STD's one less thing to think about... and yes it really is suprising how quickly we can fill our minds with things to do :-)

Im going to be different here... sorry... i really like the shanghai and the mexico designs but I love the Venice one!! but i can definatly see why you like the Shanghai :-)

mine will be at the Playa Maroma. I know a couple that went to the RM and i'm sure everything is fine there. but I don't know anyone who I can ask that has been at the PM to confirm anything. I think i'm just being paranoid.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
