Hi bigboponthebeach - I'm one of your date twins! Getting married at Ceiba del Mar on May 28th. Azul Beach was actually our first choice, but at the time they didn't allow weddings larger than 50 people (I heard that they recently changed that policy). I LOVED the rooftop at Azul Sensatori for the wedding ceremony, but having a good beach was important to us, so that ended up being the deal breaker. Michelle is another date twin, at Barcelo Palace. And another newbie, pinchem to roberts, at Turks and Caicos. I'm pretty sure there is one more that I'm forgetting? Being as that it's a holiday weekend, I'm sure we'll have many more date twins:)

Shoe shoppers - I just found these shoes online while procrastinating, and thought they'd make great beach wedding shoes if anyone is interested! Nicola, I especially thought of you as they're teal:) Save on the Charles David Buttons Leather Thong Sandal at SmartBargains.com

Not yet. My friend's bf opened his own photography business but isn't doing it full time right now. I looooove his photos but concerned with lack of experience doing weddings.

Do you have any suggestions?

I don't yet, but as soon as I do I will totally share with you. I am in love with Elizabeth Medina but I am displeased with the restrictions our resort is placing on outside vendors as far as fees and such. I don't know if I could justify her costs. Anywho, I will let you know as soon as I come across some goods........

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
