Maybe you could stay a couple nights at the Maya Palace after the wedding. Just an idea! Good luck and I hope it all works out for you!
Yes the Barcelo has 5 hotels on site. We just love the Palace and we want to get married at the gazebo and i know the bride and groom have to be staying at the Palace to marry there...... Our guests want to be with us so it's hard. If rates stay high maybe we could book 1 wk at the Palace and 1 week at one of the others but dont really want to mess our guests around with moving. Fingers x'd the rates come down. Even if just a little. I think they are higher for us as my son will be 13 when we go and from aged 12 they are classed as adults so we have to pay adult price for him. Thanx for sugguestion will defo keep it in mind :o)

The best part about the shower is all the gifts, but for the most part, at least for the ones I've been to, they're pretty dull!
Yes Hen nights are like Bachelorette partys, but sometimes when i hear you ladies talking or see them on the TV (haha) they sound like so much fun... :-)

I think they probably are the same thing to be fair.... You will have to be the one to come back and let us know, what the differences are and if there are any :-) Have lots of fun though thats the main thing :-)

Thanks for all the Save the date love!! I mostly designed them myself in Word and then showed it to FI's cousin (one of my BM's) who created it in Photoshop.

Bonnie- the map part was actually from an invitation I saw online that I had her recreate in Photoshop. The little shells were purchased at Michael's I had a TON left over from my mermaid costume last Halloween haha. FI helped me superglue them to metal brads to secure onto the bows.

Mexbride-Yes we are defnitely going to do it on a Sunday morning probably from say 11-3. I am going to mention to my mom that we can do it somewhere like a hall or someone's home to save costs. I don't think she'll bite on that, but at least it shows I'm being considerate. I'm also going to get all three moms a nice hostess gift to give them at the shower.

Palace guests can goto the other 4 hotels, but the other 4 can't access the Palace. I was attracted by their Gazebo at the palace too, and willing to go there for my site visit..until their WC were so slow in replying my emails...like 3-4 weeks delay. I am sure they do a fab job (it is a wedding factory there, so WC are too busy to reply emails from anxious brides who are getting married in 12-16 months) as all the bride who went there were super happy and satisfied. However as I am so used to work with real time thing, I will turn crazy, vicious amd aggressive if I have to wait 3 weeks for an email reply.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
