I haven't got their shoes yet. But we're not having a beach wedding so it will be a pair of small heels for them with flip flops for the evening!

Because you don't get the air flow that a dress that sits away from the body will give you. But the mermaid style fits me perfectly, and the A lines just didn't seem to do anything for me. So I'm just going to suffer in the heat, haha. Although I do plan to find a fun short dress to change into after dinner! My wedding isn't on the beach, so I'm getting great heels to go with this dress and to show off with my short dress for the party part:) My dress came in WAY under budget, so I've gotten the okay from my parents to get Louboutins! I'm so much more excited to shoe shop than I ever was to dress shop!!!
Louboutins...you go girl! Those shoes are HOT! Now, if only the soles were blue instead of red...then you could get your something new and something blue in one fell swoop!

I didn't even try on the mermaid style, because I knew it would make me look like a prize heifer at the county fair. I'm more of a empire-waist girl, because they hide my trouble spots wink.gif

I decided yesterday that I'm definitely going to do a BD shoot for FI's wedding gift. I was kinda hesitant about it at first because I am NOT at my goal weight, but I was looking around on the internet superhighway yesterday, and I found an amazing photographer in Seattle whose pictures would blow Sean out of the water. So I'm going for it.

I probably won't do the shoot until November, so I've got 6 months to lose 25 pounds. I can do this!

The dress is a size 4, so I'll have to have it sized down a bit. I had found the same dress in a size 12 for sale brand new, and I was a little concerned about having it sized down so much, I wasn't sure if the dress would lose some of the shape. So i was a little hesitant, but then found this one!!

Mermaid is definitely my favorite style, a lot of the other dresses were too much dress for me, I kind of got lost in all the material!

cjb0arder - That's awesome you're doing the BD pics! I still am leaning against them because I'm so terrified of someone else (specifically kids or grandkids) finding them one day. But my fiance found out about them (a friend did them for her husband and was telling us about them) and now he talks about it ALL the time hahaha. I may change my mind next year and go for them, we'll see.

Michelle, and other girls shoe shopping - I don't know if you can order from this site outside the US/Canada, but endless.com is an awesome shoe site! You can choose the color, height, style, etc and it shows you all the shoes that fit your criteria.

Getting married June 2011. We def want a destination wedding, but it's so difficult to decide on a place. I love the look of the beaches and resorts in Mexico, but have never been there, and am a little scared, to be honest. Ive heard the stories of the "drinking water"...so Im a little nervous. I don't want anyone to get sick. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Lgorm11! - all I can say is reviews, reviews, reviews! I spent a *bazillion* hours reading reviews about a ton of resorts. Regarding Mexico and the water, I've travelled there before and haven't travelled with anyone who had any major "complications" bottled water is def available wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
