I will be legally married after my symbolic date. As a greedy woman, I guess I will celebrate on both dates! mouhahaha...

I wish my FI would settle for a $20 ring, as matter of fact, we both got our engagement rings, yes.. he has a sapphire diamond band as his engagement ring and he wears it everyday (he is a very metrosexual guy).

As for the economy, sigh...I don't know who to blame..should we blame the greedy bankers, the overspent consumers or the lobbied/legally corrupted politicians?

Definitely, all of the above! I tend to just blame George Bush because he makes an easy target wink.gif

Hahaha...I actually miss George Bush as his dumb moments were so funny to watch. However, Sarah Palin is my fave, she is hard to beat (Africa is a country and Russians are her neighbors)!
For the UK brides, Gordon Brown would look so smart and sharp next to George Bush and Sarah Palin.

Just blame America...we're the idiots that got the world into this mess!

Is there any chance you could do Mexico, and maybe delay the AHR until the following year? That's kind of what we're doing. We're not having the AHR until the summer after we go to Mexico (summer 2011) but I may push it back if it starts getting expensive. I'm just thinking, with all the stress you guys are going through, you DESERVE and NEED a vacation!!!
Ha ha Blame America! Nah i just blame FI's firm! lol... I am wishing an opportunity to come up for him to move on! There are a few options as you say like postponing the AHR and going without a few of the little extras so we will just have to wait and see but you are so right! We need, want and deserve a vacation! The last 4.5months have been so stressful and cancelling the wedding will just send me into depression :o(

Thanx for the compliment but i to have chicken wings and large love handles at the mo. The picture hides them well ha ha :o)

We are going 24th July - 7th August. So far there are 13 of us going, with more booking soon. Will be great to hear from anyone who is getting married there.

Welcome!! Do you mean you're getting married at Azul Sensatori? If so, there is a GREAT thread about it in this section. I am getting married at Azul Beach, which is a smaller sister resort to Sensatori. I've heard nothing but great things about both places.

Welcome, and congrats!!!

Seriously this man is a complete idiot - who has set up a coalition gov with the party that came 3rd - since when coming 3rd in an election meant you could run the country! For all those who voted for him; he is now going against all the policies that he set out in his agenda............arrrggghhhhhhh rant over.

Back to wedding things .......... :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
