Its from Karen Millen! Love her dresses! I wore it with red satin shoes :o)
Yowza! That's a great dress! I feel kinda stupid here, but I'd never heard of Karen Millen before so I googled her stuff and she is awesome! I have to admit though, seeing it on you really does it justice because I can see in your photos how amazing the red satin looks. Thanks for posting that!

Nicyx - CONGRATS!!! How exciting! That can be quite the mood booster whenever you're having a bad day ; )

Amen Mischaka! I have lots to do, but I haven't really started any of it. Nobody has booked, other than my family...I think everyone's still waiting for prices to come down, so hopefully they'll start booking over the summer. Right now I'm just trying to focus on losing weight so I'll look great in my wedding dress (and in a bikini!)

Arrr, Thank you so so much ladies :-)

I havent seen that program either or the 4 weddings one in the UK....

They both sound fun though... i have heard people talk about them but have just always missed. I did stumble across something on BBC3 a few weeks ago, cant remember the name though it was people who were so close to there wedding but things just not working out so a "fairy godmother" (i think a celeb wedding planner) went along to help and grants the couple 3 wishes and she makes them happen... was good to watch :-)

Mischaka... Time is flying by.... the only thing really dragging is the prices coming out..... im so fed up of waiting, stuck at the mo and havent done anything weddingy for ages, the count down is on though

14 days to go

cjb0arder13, like you im trying to concentrate on loosing weight. i have 21 pounds to loose!! Im dreading getting in my bikini in front of friends and family, lol x

LOL - This is so funny there are 10 women coming and this is all we ever talk about. The men have it easy. My FI and my family have only ever met once on his 30th birthday last year - when everyone was leaving my dad said; 'next time we all see each other we wont be wearing any clothes' - i think this has scared us all and now its all we think about. lol! I have 10lb to lose to at my lowest so we shall see :-)

I too cannot believe how quickly time is passing by - I have all day Saturday to myself this weekend so AM going to do some bits and pieces - ill let you know if this actually happens!

Oh great news Nicy x

Becks - we used to be super close! I lived in Glover Park for 3 years after college. I grew up in Fairfax County, VA, so I was always in the DC area. But I'm actually not there anymore, I'm in Alabama for grad school. I just couldn't bear to put Alabama for my location, no offense to any 'bamians that may see this:)

Michelle - I actually have heard of 4 weddings, but I haven't seen it yet!

Mischaka - I wish David Tutera could plan my weddingsad.gif

Actually my FI is talking about losing weight/belly. Therefore, ladies, guys do care about how they look...heehee...Mexbride, you should help out other brides who wants to lose weight since you are in the field. Of course, my way is a bit unhealthy, being a hagen daz killer, eat out most of time, but I don't eat rice, bread, pasta (unless it is very tasty). However, maybe genetic plays a role too, my sisters are size zero and very bonely.

I love those reality TV shows, but didn't have the chance to check them out, except Say Yes to the dress.

So far, my FI and me got our shoes, and our site inspection trip booked. STDs done and website 75% finished.

Mexbride- That's so funny! I bet moving to Alabama was a big transition...but I also bet that everything seems SO inexpensive now!!

Josietom and prettypig- My fiance and I have both been talking about how we want to get into really good shape for the wedding. I love to work out and have been into distance running for a long time but also just started doing P90X. Holy crap is that tough!!

And for all of the wedding-show fans, I saw an ad on TLC today that said there will be a 'wedding marathon' next Friday...set the DVR :-)

Prettypigpig - I'm willing to give advice to any brides that want it, but people always want to hear about the quickest and easiest way to lose weight, when in reality it's all lifestyle changes. That's why the type of people that dietitians usually see are those who are sick due to their weight (diabetes, heart disease, eating disorders, etc)... the rest are out there reading diet books and the bogus websites! However, my focus is actually international nutrition and hunger issues. I'll be spending my summer working for the World Food Programme in Malawi. I cannot wait!

Becks - Where are you dress shopping?? I'm actually planning to buy my dress in DC, since I'm up there plenty anyways. I'm going shopping in May, and I'm trying to pick a couple of places. Thinking Hitched, Riziks, and Ellie's in Alexandria. Maybe White Swan in Vienna as well, I have a friend who got her dress there and loved them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
