There is definitely nothing wrong with it, it's just pureed food. So if eating banana baby food is easier for you than eating a banana (which for some it is because produce goes bad so quickly, they don't want to buy it and have it go to waste!), then by all means, do it.

I feed baby food sweet potatoes to my dog, it's his favorite treat:)

Does anyone have their flight/hotel rates yet? My TA said she's still waiting on the rates from the vacation companies, but I heard somewhere that you can get rates as long as you're less than 330 days out?

I'm getting so impatient! I hate that I booked the resort but have no idea what my guests are going to pay!!

I was able to get my hotel rates (although they are REALLY high right now...my travel agent says they should go down in the summer, and at that point we can lock in the lower rates). Airfare is out for some airlines, not all...and actually, the resort we want to stay at for our honeymoon doesn't have their room rates out yet, which is weird.

I would say be next month ALL rates should be out...at least I hope that's the case!

Mexibride83 - How cool! Lets cross our fingers for awesome weather :) Your hotel looks so nice! When are you requesting an RSVP for the wedding? I've been consulting all of these books but I feel like they don't apply for a DW. I want to give people plenty of time, but I'd also like a "final" head count a 2 months out for budget reasons.

Bonnie - I bought all of my bridesmaids dresses when jcrew had their 30% off the sale price promotion. Lol. It was spur of the moment - I saw the sale and I frantically started texting everyone for sizes. Lets hope they fit a year from now! It sounds like the dresses you special order will be beautiful! I'd love to see some pics once you get them. Kool was pretty neat. We actually got to see a reception while we were there- the director told us to stop by so we viewed it from the beach at a distance. It was pretty cool...no pun intended:)

your rates flight rate should be out already. and your hotel rates are probably out just pretty high right now.

I have about another week til i'm able to book my flight. I can book the out going but not my return yet. so once I'm able to book my flights i'm gonna lock in on my rooms. I really don't care what the price is I just want to make sure I have my rooms.

and the whole thing about losing weight, I have a big problem with "dieting". I'm not on a diet. I'm changing the way I eat for the rest of my life!! I'm incorporating workouts into my routine. I'm getting older and I don't want to wait til i'm so old it will take me twice as long to lose weight. Yes, I'm eating mostly salads and staying away from junk food but that's because I don't want my body to depend on that bad stuff anymore. I'm doing more workouts so I can get to where I want to be and stay there. I don't like that whole not eating...I love food...and this is why i'm trying to lose weight now. lol But I just want to love working out also.

I'm getting married 1 week before you. We booked our flights about a month or so ago...hotel rates are still not out. It is driving me nuts!! My TA has booked us and some guests without rates, but we don't know how much exactly other than comparing it to the year before and adding 10% on to estimate.

I thought that they should be out too, but the TA says that both the vacation company (like Apple and Funjet) and our resort have not released 2011 rates. We are not using a site like destinationweddings.com. We are using a local TA. Maybe that has something to do with it? Dunno.

Would you mind telling me what rates you were quoted out of NY? was given an "estimate" of 1596 for a week flying out of Chicago and was told that nonstop would add up to 100.

Does that sound like a decent rate?

Linhy, my date twin, :) have you gotten your rates yet?

I would have thought for those of you getting married in January you should be able to get both your rooms at the hotel- i know i am in the UK and using a TA to book but we managed to book flights from London to Cancun and the 9 hotel rooms we require on the 10th Nov 2009.

Hi! Didn't see your reply before submitting my last post.

I guess I'm confused on how this all works.

I was under the impression you had to book your flight and hotel as a package at the same time if you're going through a tour operator. Our TA is going to go thru Funjet, Apple, etc , whoever has the best deal.

Is that how you are doing it? If so, how were you able to book your flight and not your hotel?

Sorry if this is an obvious question, but can anyone break down for me exactly what the TA does, what the resort does, and what the tour operator does -- and how they go about quoting us our group rates?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
