Recommended Posts

opps sorry I read it wrong hahaa I meant yeah having programs will be much more easier. I was actually worrying about how am I going to get everyone's tote bags if they are staying at different resorts you know. Because I was going to have it in their rooms those that stay with us. To make it easier because it's going to have schedule's for the entire weekend.

What do you all think of this welcome letter? hahaha I know I am a freak going above and beyond. I kind of took it from others parts and pieces here and there and added my own words.

Welcome to Rivera Cancun, Mexico!

We are extremely pleased that you were able to travel with us to celebrate our special day and to spend time in the sun with our family and friends. When will you get to do this again, especially for a wedding? Words definitely cannot express how sincerely honored and blessed we feel that you are here.

The heart of marriage is memories.” Marriage is a beginning of a life that will grow and change in ways more wonderful than we can imagine. Understanding that life holds many momentous commitments, we thank you for sharing in our happiness. Many years from now, when we look back on our life together, our love for each other, and the special day we became husband and wife, it will be the fond memories of our family and friends that joined us that made our day even more speciall.

We hope that you will fully enjoy your relaxing vacation and the Go Green that this weekend will bring. As a small token of our appreciation for your being here, we hope that you enjoy the goodies in this bag and that they make your stay in Rivera Cancun just a little more fun and comfortable. Let the fun begin! See you at the wedding! Below is the itinerary of what's going on throughout the weekend.

prettypigpig- yep that's how my friend is too. She doesn't understand all that and bach. party and bridal shower are like. I was frustrated when she wasn't able to come with me to any of my gathering with my girls. But now I understand. Why.. like you said over there they got everything in package and all they need to do is show and they do the rest.

wow i've missed loads. lol

Mexbride83 - thank you hopefully when the flights are out we will confirm us being date twins! I think i will do the same as you and get the hotel to put the OOT bags in the guest rooms and like you say those arriving the same day will understand if they are alittle late.....

welcome Josietoms! Congrats on your wedding! Nice to see another fellow UK bride!

Nicyx - love your sandals, your so clever! I can't wait to see what else you come up with!

Linhy - I think your letter is lovely! From the heart and i'm sure your guests will be very happy and honored you invited them!

We had a bit of a blip this week! the AHR room hire charge has gone up by £1300!!! going from £500 to £1800! ( I think this is around $2600) A massive jump from what we thought it would be. Thats without food, entertainment, drink etc... So unless we can get this lowered we will need a rethink on the AHR as everything is adding up fast and with not knowing what Mexico will cost it's a bit of a gamble! :o(

Also my dad is not coming. Not because he doesn't want to be there he just can't do the journey. He hasn't been on a plane for yr's now and he is panicing over it and i dont want him worrying for the next 14 odd months... I am upset but not going to dwell on it. I am going to ask my son Harrison (he will be 13 when we marry) to give me away! So on the day i wont be sad Dad is not there i will be proud my little man is doing the job!! x

LOL, don't worry, she will start to realize that some pieces are coming together by themselves! If her wedding is in November, she will start to "realize" it in the Summer, especially seeing you..planning everything! kekeke, my July 2010 chinese bride friend, was like oh...we have to print the seating cards? oh..we need thankyou cards?...oh...the centrepieces?

WOW..you already done the whole program?!? I better copy and save it as an example! kekekeke!

Michelle,
I totally understand what u mean, especially the Sterling pound and USD exchange rate can swing and reception hall and food aren't cheap (small things like chair covers, flowers..all adds up pretty fast!)
I am sure ur little man will do a nice job!! I guess your daughter can be a very cute flower girl!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
