I am about to book Cecilia Dumas to do my engagement pics in June, if the pics are nice, I will hire her for my wedding and trash the dress, if not, then..I guess Sascha Gluck will be the back up. However, if I win the lotto or the stock market goes up 50% this year, I will go with E. Medina (heehee....it is so good to have hope and stay positive). So far, I have no reply from Barcelo or Ocean Turquesa...But I guess I will visit both resorts in June and make a decision on the location and the date. It is hard when u are a chinese and u wanna follow the chinese supertitious calendar.

LOL...THX! I guess I will have better chance to make 50% from the stock market! I thought I would save a bit by doing a destination wedding, and I always want a beach wedding, and now it turns out it is about the same price! heehee....

So we were about to book Del Sol as our photographer, and then I asked some friends how much they paid for their photographer, and realized that Del Sol is wayyyyyy over what most people pay! So we have decided to keep looking. We are now looking at Victor Herrera, Moments that Matter (they haven't responded to me though and it's been a couple of days!), and Sascha Gluck.

Has anyone here started their website? I know Linhy has, yours is awesome! We're planning to start ours this weekend, because I have a friend who is going to design our save the dates for us (we'll print them on vista print), and she needs the address to put on them. We don't plan to send them out until May, but she wants to get started on the designing part:)

michelle2011- No I haven't gotten my either. We still got some time I guess. Are you planning to leave your dress like that or make it less puffy? Yeah I was debating too no necklace or necklace. I probably won't do necklace because the dress already draws attention and with the designs on it too. Just earrings and a bracelet. Make it simple.

Aww too bad we are not getting married around the same time or else i would love to meetup with you!!!!! I think we are the few out there that selected a dress that is bigger then usually for a dest. wedding. But you know its our day gotta make it right! right? eheh

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
