Does anyone have the same issue?
Saturday we went and booked our flights, we actually changed travel dates to save some money. The resort does not have prices out still, and actually is saying no rooms available!! My TA was hesitent on booking flights without a resort. But I find it very unrealistic that there are no rooms available when I've checked it every day and prices were never posted. We booked the flights anyway because god forbid if we can't go to our resort there is a million resorts in the area to choose from!

Hopefully today the TA will call with a resolution after speaking to the resort.

Yes Jan 11 is a good date according to the Chinese "TONG SHING" aka the chinese calendar for events. My FI doesn't wanna get married in January, and snow storms can be a risk given we are from Montreal.

I will book the whole package, plane-transfer-hotel, it is much easier this way. Plus, there are always reps of the package vendor at the resort to nag and complain in case smth went wrong.

Bonnie, it must feel great to be done. Congrats! My diamond is a blue diamond. My dad gave it to my mom, and Josh had it reset in the micropave band. My wedding band is exactly the same. I can't to get married so I can wear it!

Thanks Linhy!

Nicola, thanks for the warm welcome. We will be visiting other resorts as well as Riu Palace Las Americas. I just e-mailed my TA this morning for suggestions. I'll be sure to let you girls know.

Peterpanpixiedust, congrats on your contract for Dreams. Josh proposed to me at a Dreams in Nuevo Vallarta and it was wonderful. As far as surviving graduate school while working, chairing a committee in Junior League, and planning a wedding. Well, it's tough but I love everything I'm doing. When things get difficult, try to stay positive and remind yourself that there is a reason for doing all of it. When I'm sleep deprived which is often, I remind myself I can sleep when I'm dead. It will all be worth it! If you ever need to vent, I'm here! I also figured having a destination would be less stressful. It is to a certain extent but I'm a little bit of a "control freak," and we plan on doing a lot of things on our own like invitations. Get well soon!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
