I am planning on sending out the STD's next week. They are taking me a little longer then I thought they would. I really wanted to do a boarding pass AND a magnet but I couldnâ€t find a good magnet boarding pass. So I am making mine. I am a professional designer, so I am designing the passes and getting them printed. I bought magnets sheets (8.5 x 11) with an adhesive backing online. I will merge them then cut them to size.

Some people might think 11months is to early ,but in this econmy you can never plan to early.

My ring has a very nice profile as well. My jewler said some girls are now wearing there wedding bands on the right hand now. At first I thought this was kinda odd ,but after thinking about I really it would work with my ...Why not spread the love to both hands..Also I hear if the rings rub the wrong way they can wreck each other.

Prettypigpig - I would definitely go with a TA in your situation! I can't imagine planning for people coming from around the world. That is so cool though that you have people traveling from so far away to see your wedding!

ahollo - I agree with what others have said about getting an eternity band on each side. I think it'd look so cool to have the pave diamonds on each side of your diamond band, and it still wouldn't get in the way with those gloves!

I'm currently waiting on our contract (we have been through 3 drafts and are now waiting on what we hope is the final!) with Ceiba del Mar for our wedding to be on May 28, 2011. We are SO excited! This has been our first choice for a long time, and Diana, the WC there, has been so amazing to work with. I already email her questions regularly and I always get a response within a couple of hours. Now that the resort is almost taken care of, the next thing we want to do asap is book a photographer. Photography is SO important to us, so we want to book early to make sure we have lots of options:) After that, we'll send STDs (btw, my fiance saw the "STDs" category on this forum and he was dying laughing, oh men...) sometime in May, and then I'll take the WHOLLLLLLE summer off from wedding planning!:) I'm interning in Malawi for the summer, so that should give me a good break from wedding thoughts and keep me plenty distracted.

cjb0arder - Thank you! The fiance picked it out himself and did a GREAT job. All I said is that I wanted a pave band and round diamond, it was a pleasant surprise to see so much detail from the profile view, yet very simple from the top :)

Bikegrl - I'm hoping that Penny Preville does a curved ring like that to go with my ring, because that is exactly what I need. My concern with getting just any curved one is that I don't want to cover up the designs on the side, so hopefully a Penny Preville one made to match it would have the same design. If she even makes wedding rings, that is.

Skadow - That was actually my fiance's idea too, and he's suggested it since when we first got engaged. He doesn't think we should cover the side up with a wedding band. My only concern though is that it is a pretty good size diamond, and being right-handed, I think it would really irritate me to have it on that hand.

I keep telling my fiance that if Penny Preville doesn't do a matching band, we're just going to have to get one custom made with the same scrolling design. He just LOVES when I tell him that hahaha.

hmm...I think I will just stack the rings up, because I want a pink diamonds eternity band and a canary diamond eternity band as well (to match my e-ring)...so stack up is the best option. I don't usually wear any jewelleries on me, and it took me awhile to get used to wear my e-ring on my left hand (paranoid that I may drop/loss it), so I will just stack the wedding bands up.

^ You have my dream diamond! I told my fiance when I'm older and earning more, I'm definitely buying myself a Canary diamond ring for the right hand! <-- actually, that's another reason to find an eternity band you can stack with the engagement ring. You get the other 4th finger free for more bling. wink.gif

Hello everyone.

Congrats and welcome new brides on here!

We haven't looked for our rings yet but i am hoping to soon. FI's mum works in a jewellers so we will probably get them in her shop and save some money with her discount. (every little helps) They will both be white gold though i know that!

This is my engagement ring! (Now lets see if i can add the pics.......)

Bikegirl,

I totally agree with you on stackable rings. My dream diamond is a fancy light pink diamond, but I guess I have to work very hard and make a lot of alphas to be able to afford one.

Michelle,

What a nice ring u got! I am a fan of emerald cut diamond. You are very right, if u know a wholesale jeweller, u can save a tons of $$, at least 50% off the retail price.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
