Any 2011 Brides out there?

Thanks y'all! And it was less than $500, I felt like I was stealing it. Just wish I would have that amazing tan in April when I get married... that was the end of summer. This summer will be spent wearing strapless tops and getting rid of my 10 year old tan lines. I have to try my dress on every couple of months to be sure it still fits, haha.

Thanks Nicyx & Tifuhhknee for the great advice! I think.. this wedding planning is starting to take over.. where it gets to the point that its for the people then rather what I want. I want to stay at the dreams in rivera maya really badly.. and get married under the hut.. at this point I don't care who comes or not. Because really.. down to it.. its my and my fiance. UGH.. why can't men see that sometimes. maybe once prices come out and the price looks decent enough I'll just book it without discussing with him. haha

Tiffuhhknee - You look lovely. The dress really suits you, it's beautiful. What a bargin to! ;o)

Hello to all the new brides on here!

I agree with you girls. The day is about US and what WE want. We can be selfish about it as it's our big day! We chose our hotel because it's what we wanted as a couple. We have had a few hiccups along the way with MIL. But at the end of the day it's about you and only you as a couple. Do what you want for your dream wedding, and enjoy! It is a shame ppl can't make it whatever the reason, money or travel reasons. But you can't worry about everybody else, do whats right for you! xx

Tifuhhknee- what a gorgeous dress! I can't wait to go dress shopping. I told myself I can't do any of that other stuff until I decide on a resort.

I agree with what everyone is saying about the whole price thing. We set a max that we wanted our guests to pay for 4 days and have gone from there, but ultimately this is about what we want.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
