I met my FI on eharmony. We emailed and chatted on line for a week or so when he asked me out to dinner. I gave him my number and told him to call me. When he called, we ended up talking on the phone for over 3 hours. What I didn't know at the time was Jason hates talking on the phone. His usual phone calls are super short. Anyways, we made plans to meet at a Keg near my work for our first date. Similar to our phone call, on our first date, we had so much to talk about, they actually had to kick us out when the restaurant closed. Same thing happened on our second date. All the kitchen staff walked by in their hats and coats. Our waiter was wearing his coat, it was actually kinda funny. On our third date, I met him with his dog to go for a walk down along the waterfront. Afterwards we went back to his condo and played virtual sports games in the games room, chatted lots, went to dinner and then rented a movie. It was a 14 hour date and I still didn't want to leave. That was it, I knew he was the one and every day I am more sure of it.

The first time I met my fiance was actually while he was dating his ex-girlfriend who I worked with at the time. But they broke up and then a couple months later we both went to a mutual friend's house for our friend's birthday. We were all sitting outside around a bonfire having a few drinks and my (now) fiance and I had SO much to talk about! We were flirting and having a great time. I then thought it would be a great idea to go for a jog. Our friend's house was out in the country so it was a dark country road and not a lot of traffic. He decided to come with me and it turned into a long walk. It was late at night and after walking for quite a way, we stopped and laid down in the middle of the road to look at the stars. It was a perfectly clear night and we saw so many shooting stars. It was so amazing and romantic. I can honestly say that each shooting star we saw we each made a wish and all of mine have come true and are still coming true today. As we were laying on the road, I leaned over and kissed him and it was the most amazing kiss I had ever had in my life. When we finally got back to our friend's house, it was about 3 hours later and everyone had gone to bed. I made him promise me that he would call me the next day and he did and we talked for 4 hours on the phone.

Every time I think about this night I still get goosebumps!

I met my FI through his sister. I lost my brother and stayed at a friends house for a few months to keep my mind busy and that's how I met his sister, well I didn't feel like going back home because my brother lived with me for a while and it was painful to be in his room and look at the stuff he fixed up for me and everything so I ended up rooming with my now FSIL and met her brother (my FI) well we would text each other on a friend kind of level and one night my friend went out with her ex who wanted to hang out with her brother as well and so I went with my friend and my FI went with the ex. Well we went out to eat and went to the mall, my friend told her brother that I wasn't looking to date anyone he still wanted to try so a few days later he made me a flower made out of car parts (he use to manufacture cars for companies) and he wrote my name on it. I went to spend the night with him and he gave it to me and after a few weeks he had to have a tooth worked on and I went to pick him up, he spent the next few days with me so I could keep an eye on him and his tooth. He told me that nobody has ever treated his so well. and he said he loved me. Honestly I ended a very painful relationship about 6 months before and I wasn't looking for anything serious but he was the only one that could make me really smile and I wouldn't think about my brother or my ex. Since I started hanging out with him he made me feel very special and I was kind of falling for him, but always held back because I couldn't handle any more "bad" in my life. Well two years later we are just as happy and just as in love ready to take the plunge :)

We met on Match and talked on the phone and through email for a few weeks before deciding to meet. We went to dinner at a local Italian restaurant and then sat and talked for a few hours. He asked me out for another date before we parted. :) We've been together ever since!

On our first date he escorted me to my boss' wife's 40th birthday party. It was a Pimp N Ho party, and I have a picture of him in leather's and my boss' wife holdiing his leash (totally playing it up)! He was quite taken aback by what fun people I worked with and I took that opportunity to tell him that he could never ask me to leave my job.

At the time I was living in Santa Monica and he was living in AZ. When he proposed my boss found me an office in AZ, so I got to keep my job and my hunny.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
