Chemical peels

Recommended Posts

I have been doing a series of peels and micro derm. I have had two so far. She gives me a facial, puts the glycolic peel on, and then microderm. Oh - and then this light therapy thing. It's only been $75 a treatment....but well worth it. I can tell not only are some of my darker spots lightening, but my skin is smoother, pores are smaller...and dare I say...some of my fine lines are gone?!!!!!! If you are thinking about it I would go with a glycolic first.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have been getting chemical peels for about a year and let me tell you, the first few my face definitely PEELED!!! I always schedule mine for a Wed. because by Fri/Sat my face is falling off....I know that sounds unsightly, but the glow that you have afterwards, is SO worth it.

I don't know much about microdermabrasion....It is something that I'd like to have though....I am doing these because I have red marks/scars on my face from old acne. cry.gif

I've been getting chemical peels every month for over a year now. I usually get them on Friday and by Sunday my skin looks fine, it's still peeling a little, but it just looks like you have very dry skin. If you get one two weeks before your wedding, your skin will look amazing on your wedding day.

LOL!!! I mentioned this exactly to my esthitician right before my first peel :)

I have gotten 2 chemical peels so far, one a month since the beginning of this year and will continue until April. Then I was recommended to get an oxygen facial that is supposed to make you skin glowy and gorgeous.

I can't say enough about chemical peels, my skin looks amazing and I haven't been breaking out really at all. I get them on Sunday and by Monday my face is fine, no redness. I peel very slightly, nothing bad but it's different for everyone I guess.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
